When you're stressed out, how do you handle it? What do you do for stress release?


I can't tell the difference between stress and reacting to stress.

My way of getting rid of my stressful moments is to scream at some other guy at the top of my lungs.

In my entire life, my stress was never releived, until recently. You see, if you scream at the person whom you are angry at, he or she will react, and your anger / stress release will never run its full course.

One day I found myself in a situation which allowed me to completely empty my bladder of anger, via screaming at a whistling pitch as I threw the words out of my mouth. The person listening to me was a co-worker of a guy at whom I found myself angry at. The angerer was not there, and I screamed for a good fifteen minutes, and at the end I felt finally satisfied.

That was about two months ago. I have not yet felt anger since then.

In fact, I keep surprising myself by not getting angry at times.

This is the basis of primal scream therapy. Other people pay big bucks to pscyhologists to do it; I did it on my own.

The lesson I learned was that if I get angry, I must let it all go, otherwise there will be some left that regenerates its missing parts like an earthworm that grows those parts out that you cut off it. (How an earthworm is able to tell which part is missing, is beyond me... they all look the same to me.) However, if I get rid of the entire anger, which is not easy when you try to do it in front of and accusing the person who made you angry, then the regeneration process gets retarded. Just like if you cut entire worm off of a particular worm, then there is no worm left to grow missing parts out of.

Tomorrow I'll do a 500 cc self-liposuction, and if the need ever presents, I'll remove my appendix alone in the comfort of my own home, and operate with kitchen utensils on my gallbladder stones.

it varies sometimes if there isnt alot of traffic i like to drive fast an hard .if im in the mood a hike is good for relaxing an if it is to cold i just hermit an catch a buzz an pretend the world of people that make life hell everyday do not exist in this world .:-)smokin

I know for myself, that once I realize that I am stressed it is time to stop whatever I am doing for others and do something for myself, so I go get a pedicure or go to a matinee with a friend and have some laughs.

I find this helps me to find my center and get back in balance. After that, I like jogging or weight training to make some endorphins and help me maintain my good feelings.

I take all the stress and bury it in the deepest darkest part of my soul until one day it festers and boils over and explodes on some unsuspecting sucker....usually someone like those damned girl scouts trying to whore me thier cookies or Jehovahs witnesses.

Thanks, trying to build a good library of smooth jazz. Not many stations here play that as often as they play other genera of music.
