Well, in my state, we have a max security prision and you can drive by the fence and see them using punching bags and playing basketball so maybe your prison is low budget? hmm

Sadly, there are far to many self-righteous 'kill the murderers' who would GLADLY flip the switch.

I say, having just killed someone, they would be next in line to sit down in that chair.

yea that is a big difference.... basketballs compared to pooltables... please they cant have no dang pool tables.. the inmates would freakn kill each other with the balls... wth.

One of the reasons they have the recreation equipment for the inmates is to keep them busy and to keep them distracted so that they are not beating up on each other and attacking the officers. They have found that having recreation equipment in prisons helps the inmates burn off steam and work out their aggressions and makes them a much safer place for the staff and inmates alike. It helps with the rehabilitation aspect too. Churches, AA, NA, and numerous other groups meet with inmates to try to help them reform also.

I visited someone there who was on drug charges. I didn't get to see the pool tables.
