Making light of such a subject is very inappropriate. Have you been raped, or know anyone who has been raped? I sure hope the answer is no to have such an ignorant view on the subject. If you do know of anyone that has been raped, that just makes you all the more disturbing. If you have been raped yourself, perhaps you should seek out professional help, you seem to have unresolved issues that you need help resolving.

but the point is well taken

and the observation of soufie's for non US visitors - is valid

rape is a serious crime of violence and a felony with serious penalties and social stigma in this country (usa)- FYI

It is a crime. And I think those who perpetrate it should be drawn and quartered. Pretty simple really. I have no patience for those who like to argue it is not that big of a deal or not really a crime.

My response. GDIAH.

intentionally forced sex is a crime

its definitely not 'surprise sex'

many other situations are often called rape which I take issue with, even as a victim, which could be considered more indecision in the moment than an intentional force (When the words spoken and the actions of the body dont match, its understandably confusing if some other intimate moment had preceded it)

to me, rape requires a knowledge and intent to violate, often the law only stand on whether the word 'no' is spoken, and not on what else may be happening during the moment
