Topic: Intelligence... does it matter when dating?

I have been hurt by intelligent people too much. And not-so intelligent people bore me to death. I've decided to go for the happy drunk for friends, and for the hot hooters-kinda girl. No disappointments, except if their nipples have strong, black hair growing out of them. You wouldn't beLIEVE how many nice girls have that affliction. I think it's because of global warning, which is naturally Obama's fault.

Their are those who are book smart and those who are street smart .. . . if they can hold a conversation and make me laugh and have their own opinion about things. . . . im good.:)

some intelligence would be helpful...She doesnt have to be a fighter pilot but 2 of her 4 legs on the ground would be nice...

How high is intelligence on your list of qualities? Let's say you meet a thoughtful, caring person but they don't understand what you consider simple words and phrases. When you are looking for a teamplayer.... does intelligence matter? As much as I'd like to think I'd be drawn to a bimbo, intelligence does play a role for me. Doesn't have to be a rocket scientist or astrophysicist. If she's pretty, exceptions can be made though, don't get me wrong haha. As long as she's pretty, she can be a little dumb, huh?

This is a bit of a delicate balance for me because although I couldn’t be in a relationship with someone that I couldn’t have a conversation with, I have to be honest and say that (some) intelligent men bore me rigid. This is because reaching a decision becomes less and less about saying yes or no to something and instead turns into a discussion whereby a consensus is reached. Everything becomes a debate or a discussion and sometimes, I just want to wake up slowly, drink my coffee and watch the news...in silence . Sometimes I just want to take the blue pill and remain in my ignorant little bubble for a while and just smell the roses whereas he always want to take the red one (for those that watched the Matrix).

It's pretty damn important. I'm prone to go off on tangents and get oddly philosophical at times, so I need someone to keep up (granted some of that is less from intelligent discussions and more from strange mentions). I don't mean to come off as pretentious, but it's all about intellectual nourishment and need... I need someone I can have deep and varied conversations with.

Haha, nice Matrix reference. I think I get what you mean. You need intelligence, but also times where they can shut off the big noggin for a bit and just enjoy some simplicity as well.
