If you want to travel more, where do you want to go? If you don't want to travel, why?

I don't dream of travelling the world.
I am not happy where I am.
I don't think I would be any less unhappier if I were somewhere else. In fact, I believe I would be even more unhappier somewhere else than I am here.

My parents both had pilot's licenses, so I
traveled young, everywhere.
Done with that.
The one thing you learn by traveling, is
how great home is.
I am glad I got to do it when the world
was a wee safer.
No interest now.
Although Australia still beckons :-)

I've done a bit of traveling, but there are so many places I still want to see. I can't imagine wanting to stay home all the time and not traveling at all.

I would like to see more of the USA although I have seen a lot.. Been to the caribbean..Mexico.... Not much desire to go to Asia/Europe but a couple of places there... I love the warm weather places...

I'd love to go to Australia and see more of the UK.

Ah, well perhaps you have not been on a chartered
plane, that took 4 days to reach Europe, making
emergency landings in multiple countries, missing
European 'curfews' that caused you to be bussed
from place to place to catch up with the tour.
Then being served inedible foodstuffs.
That made you deathly ill.
And you can't croak out 'hospital' in that language.

Or you get off a ship and the locals all are carrying
loaded, finger on the trigger automatic rifles, to
protect the tourists. NOT confidence inspiring.

Right, I do realize bad things happen. However, I would not let that stop me from seeing more of the world.

I would love to island hop in a sailboat. Not really seeing the world, just the best parts.

Would love to travel. Have beem traveling my whole like. I enjoy seeing the beauty GOD has given us.I enjoy meeting different people. Now don't get me wrong I love my home. The mountains of Kentucky always call me back. But I still like to experience the world.

That being said, when I went to India, it was soon after there was a bombing in Mumbai, which is where I was flying into. I didn't let it stop me. You just learn to be cautious of your surroundings.

Same thing at home as well.

An Indian friend of mine says that India has changed a lot. Prostitutes on the street, the police openly demand bribes so that they won't arrest you. World travel is fine for other people and if they like it, I'm happy for them, but I will stay in the safe waters around the USA.

I was in India a few years ago. It was more crowded than any place I've ever been, but I always felt safe.

You aren't an Indian who lives and works in the USA. That is frowned upon by the jealous types.

I never said I was. However, I did work with people there who work for US companies. And I work with people here who are Indian as well.

I wasn't making any sort of accusation. I was pointing out the main difference between your and his, namely that you are viewed as a source of vacation revenue and he is viewed with jealousy. He felt his treatment was due to the jealousy many poor Indians feel over his success.

I was actually there for work, not vacation. I work with several people who are either in India and work for our company, or who are in other countries and are from India. I've never heard about the jealousy thing or that they're looked down on. I'll have to ask them about it.

Maybe it has to do with where in India he's from? Is it a place where there is a lot of outsourcing (job opportunities) going on?

Wow, give of a sturdy yatch fitted with salt water purifier and solar panels and i'll sail around the world. Its actually boring just living in one country. Life is meant to be enjoyed and seen.

I've been all over the world. I still travel some, but not near as much, usually to scuba. There is a lot to see and enjoy here in Texas and the US.

Many of the places I have been were not friendly.
