Anyone who has the courage and convictions to be the guy on the far left. Being on the far left doesn't require "courage and convictions" so much as it requires that you be able to ignore human nature, consider yourself superior to the majority of people, be historically illiterate and most importantly, desire to control other people's lives.

John Wayne cause he was one of the greatest American patriots. Then why didn't he fight in WWII like Jimmy Stewart and so many others did? John Wayne, World War II and the Draft A person doesn't have to serve in the military to be a patriot. Of course not. I'm sorry. I ask who and why. I shouldn't be questioning. It was rude. Question: Military service in WWII by Americans was done via draft or via conscription? In European countries, it was through conscription. Of course the diffence is that in conscription everyone who qualifies is signed up; in a draft a random selection is made of all qualifants, (don't get a cow, I just made this word up) and only that selection will be called up for service. I don't know the answer, that's why I ask. Viet Nam was served by drafted soldiers. But WWII? Who knows?

My mom is my hero. She was the most amazing person ever. She was loving, funny, sincere, giving, loyal...I could go on and on. She died last year at a very young age of 67. Her funeral was attended by over 400 people...she touched everyone's life in a positive way. I miss her so much every day.

Hmmm did I miss something about this cartoon? Something appeals to me about someone who doesn't just simply stand in the crowd listening to someone whose popular but with a long nose (that generally means a liar) telling us we are number one while with out the sheeple would fall into the abiss.

Anyone who recovers from a major illness. I think they deserve more than just a badge and a pat on the back. I could mean mental OR physical.

I have been very fortunate to have some heros in my family and friends. People that I look up to and admire for their strength and courage. People that have put others above themselves even in the hardest of times. But the top of my list... my oldest son.

I beg to differ: For example, Milton Friedman's theories work mainly on paper and in small limited areas, however, the reason they do not work in real life large scale is his total lack of factoring in human nature as a variable. I think Naomi Wolfe has a good book on this, outlining the history of his efforts. For example, after Tianamen Square massacre, He stated I hope they don't blame this on me too. It is similar to when I did my ex's homework for being an Activities Director- she was studying Maslow. Maslow is most applicable in the business setting, but he is taught almost everywhere.

Milton Friedman was a world renowned economist, Naomi Wolfe is most famous for writing a book trying to discredit Milton Friedman. Free market capitalist has worked at increasing the wealth of the common many every where it has been applied. From USA to China. You have read too much Wolfe and not enough history.
