I don't get it. I have been at my job for a few months now where I met my girlfriend (Ya, I know don't date people you work with). We got very close over the time we worked together and now are practically living together.

Over the past week she seems more distant and not talk talkitive (she used to text me like 40 times a day or call me), and when she gets home from work we dont really talk much and either watch a movie or goto sleep :( I try to ask her whats wrong but she keeps saying nothing. We were having so much fun together, messing around and doing things, always holding eachother, talking to eachother etc and that seemed to turn off like a dan light switch.

I hope I am just reading too much into this because I honestly found someone who I have a lot in common with and who I have a lot of fun with.

Any advice or help would be great!

if talking about it doesnt seem to work, how about giving her some space...just enough for her to miss you...

Women are like that fragile sensitive and reservist when something goes wrong.try to to talk to her again make her feel secure maybe she ll come out of her shell.i wouldnt advice u to let her on her own deal with whats wrong now on her own be more affectionate and show her that u care its ur girlfriend.

Could she have possibly read your profile or one of her friends? This is a long shot, but I wouldnt want my boyfriends profile saying 'looking for woman for dating.' Or stating that he is single. I am sure you just have not got around to changing it :-)

Lots of missing info here Lpdon, but it sounds like the relationship is new (within the last few months) and you got very close, very fast....Maybe your girlfriend it just taking a time out, just breathing... Texting 40 times a day HAD to end eventually!laugh The initial stages of falling in love can be almost manic due to the joy and excitement we feel... It could be nothing more than her becoming comfortable with you and the relationship, settling in so to speak...Try not to get yourself too worked up and like Kale says, "Give her some space."...Don't press or pressure her, but do find little ways to show you care:wink: ...Good luck!!

Have you sat down and really talked to her about it?

It could be a lot of things. It could be nothing at all. She could be bored, unhappy, depressed, unmotivated, who knows? And I am not speaking about you in that regard, but about life in general. You mentioned the stuff you used to do, and how it has trickled off, but have you tried doing anything new recently? I mean I do not know what all you are talking about, or what interests either one of you has or what all you have done... but have you tried surprising her with tickets to a show she wants to see, or doing something spontaneous like going stargazing late at night somewhere alone, or going on a roadtrip to see someplace new, or writing a love note and sending it with some flowers to her on the job or something? It is real easy to think that just because something starts one way, it will continue going that same way with no changes. And I am not saying you have not been trying anything... but maybe you guys are just in a rut and need to do some new things to get out of it and remind each other why you are together in the first place.

Sounds like the shrinkwrap has come off and the honeymoon period is well and truly over and you're seeing her in her true light.

Not much you can do if she won't talk to you and insisting nothings wrong.

Stick with it until you feel ready to throw in the towel or until she opens up and the situation gets better.

That's what I am doing. I am back at my place like 30 miles away and barely talking to or texting her.

Honestly I forgot about my profile here. I just use this place for the forums as of recent and didn't think about my profile. All though she knows im on here and I have posted several times on here with her next to me. She knows I would never do anything like that to her I actually really care about her and wouldn't do anything to hurt her at all.

Yea, it has only been a couple months and we both kinda freaked out in the first couple weeks because it moved really fast but we worked through it. I just don't understand why she seems to be backing off. I mean I am not even getting one text a day unless I initiate it and she doesn't call me at all anymore. Plus then buying a ticket to Las Vegas and telling me several hours after she buys the ticket and she said she has been thinking about going for a couple weeks. Not that I don't want her to go, I am not controling and am all for her having a life outside me, but it seems like she just doesn't want communicate with me.
