Well I finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up!(like thats ever gonna happen)

I was accepted to "Intercoast" and will be going to school to be an "Alcohol and Drug Counselor".

Pretty much, a custom fitted career for me.

Ive been wanting to do this for a long time, and theres no time like NOW!

In one year, I will be able to help many more people, beat drugs, by sharing my past, and present with them.

I cant wait!

Never been an alcoholic,

my mom was,

but I sure can help someone kick dope, or beat cancer.

Do you have to pay fees to some kind of professional group in order to be a "certified" counselor?

You are very inspiring, and you have been on my mind several times when I've had urges. So, you already help others, just being you and sharing your life.

I don't consider myself an addict or recovered or anything like that though. I simply chose a better path.

in high school i wanted to be a horse jokey..... of course that never happen

then i wanted to be a cna
but i cant stand needles/ and omg i totaly cant stand changing cafitors they make me sick

i dont mind giving the patients shots
i just cant tolerate doing them on me

but i worked off and on with the elders
trough senior services
as a caregiver for 10yrs

and i have thought about doing that again
but with my health i might wait and see what else i might be able to do

my mom was never a alcoholic
but i could say she came close to it
but she stoped herself
when my parents split up
she couldnt handle it
and drank everyday from the time she came home from work to the
time she went to bed, she did this for 2 month and realized she need to stop
when my sister got married it was same day as my parents divorce was final
my mom(OMG) was totally bombed off her butt


i have a uncle that has been sober and clean for
24yrs with the help of his gf
he was a major alcolhoic
when his twin died, that really set it off
and about 20yrs ago
his son died from alcholic poisoning

No fees, grants, and with my background and personality, I will be working straight out of school. (I was also a straight A student in high school, believe it or not), so my grades will be high!

If your health cant do it then quit,

And thats EXACTLY why I put all of my "business" out there for people to read.

Some people, may think, that I just want to be patted on the back, for my accomplishments, or think im so cool, for kicking dope, and beating cancer....

but that doesnt have, jack chit, to do with why I share ALL of my life with people.

If reading my story, inspires even one person, to do the same, then its worth sharing the "uglier" parts of my life.

Besides,

im not the kind of person, who beats myself up, about the things ive done wrong,

im the kind of person, that is proud of myself,(without vanity) for the things ive done right.

Its the only way to quit, and get past it, and move on.
