Not asking you to bring it back. I'm just saying the logic behind the advertisers doesn't make any sense. If they want it cleaned up, why did't they want to clean it all up and just leave the TiVo adds. They only hit the area where alot of members had alot of fun.

And of course theres the You got 1 friend request add from Stephanie. Shes always online and shes only 2.8 miles from me Wondering if it's the same Stephanie who keeps wanting to chat with me.  . She's such a flirt. We'll have to keep an eye on her.

You poor thing, you will have to keep repeating yourself, because there will always be one of us still waiting to see what is happening. We do all appreciate what you all have to do, it just makes it feel better to be able to at least say how we feel.  We have to be able to have a whinge somewhere, so here is as good as any place, it's why we love mingle, because there is always someone else to understand what we feel. |

Hey The S & I threads was half the fun of this place to either go

In the end, some of the risqué ads remained because Google ads did not require them to be removed. We are on your guys' side, truly. We did not want to shut down the forum and lose content, but we do not have many other options at this time.

not gonna lie, i barely come onto here anymore due to the lack of the S&I forum, and i've been a member since 07. it was were i hung out, socialized and met people. hell, i actually had several legit relationships that developed from that very forum.

As much as I hate it........I think the choice that Mingle had was either to lose members, or to lose the whole site.

I appreciate that sentiment, Jon, i really do. Perhaps, at some point, this may change. For now, though, we'll have to keep the S&I forum off of the boards. Believe me, if anything changes, the forum will be returned, in it's entirety. |

However......if Mingle were mine, and I was faced with the same decisions that Charles had to make, I would be looking for other advertising money to replace the one that was tying my hands in a way I didn't like........

so google can take one to any porn site on the net, but it finds harmless banter with a PG (at worst) rating, too offensive to be a part of the advertizing on this site? wow!
this is why i dont have a droid phone, nor do i use goggle's search engine. there are many reasons, but i may be at risk of being deactivated (or worse)if i continue. apparently they have as much power as i thought. |

I just has the thought that made me really laugh today.
Maybe google ads wanted to get rid of the S&I threads because they were in direct conflict with their sex ads that they have on the site. Maybe they thought that once the sex threads are gone, a lot of us would turn to the sex ads, and they could make more money. |
|

That was 90% of where I spent my time on here. I agree with those who have said many of the ads themselves are offensive. If S&I is gone for good, I will likely be too. |
