There are a few cake decorating tricks, I never have been able to get right. For example, making a rose.

Wish I could help...but I'm lucky to get the frosting on the cake half way decent.

Did ya now?????

My best tip is to chill the flower nail in the freezer dab of icing topped with a 2inch sq of wax paper for about 10-15 mins... then go to town spinning it....back to freezer to help set up....

That is what I did....how about you?

Me? I call my local Kroger if I want it to look good. Otherwise, it should be the effort. Used to make the UGLIEST birthday cakes for friends. They were tasty, though.bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile
