I am constantly amazed that the amount of Obama Derangement Syndrome that I see displayed. Recently while visiting another website, I saw an advertisement that asked, "Should Obama be impeached?"

Apparently some people are clueless as to what an impeachment actually is. It is the political equivalent of an indictment, which is nothing more than a formal accusation. An impeachment does not remove a person from public office. President Bill Clinton was impeached, but he remained the President until the end of his second term.

The impeachment of any sitting President is an exercise in futility unless the President has done something so seriously wrong that a majority of U.S. senators votes to remove him from office.

As I see it, it is nonsense to call for the impeachment of President Obama. Federal courts are fully capable of blocking or overturning unconstitutional actions taken by officials in the executive branch of the federal government. So, instead of calling for impeachment, use the federal courts if you believe that the U.S. Constitution has been violated.

Oh yeah, use their court system and expect results? We already know how well that works.

NDAA
The Patriot Act
Warrantless wire taps
Email spying
Police write their own warrants
IRS
Raids on farms for selling "whole goods"

How many bankers have been jailed for Libor or the 2008 crash?

Who went to jail over Benghazi?

Yep, the courts work well.... for them!

Right... use the federal courts.

That's so funny I forgot to laugh.

I am constantly amazed with people who still think there is a rule of law operating in this country.

Actually the Federal courts have their job to do which is to settle suits.

Impeachments are a different process that has it's job to do. One does not replace the other. Impeachment is a process to remove an officeholder who has shown dishonesty, incompetence, or the inability to perform their job. Impeachments are designed to happen quickly. Currently, lawsuits drag on for years.

A similar situation is the Constitutional amendment process where Congress could follow and send changes to the States to ratify. But topics such as gun control (where congress knows damn well it won't pass in the state legislatures) congress tries to do an "end around" and change the Constitution by a simple law.

The President is supposed to enforce law, not make them. He is supposed to enforce the Constitution, not "bypass" it. Again, "executive orders" which are supposed to be orders to enforce existing laws are perverted to create new "law" which he does not have the authority to create but if they are followed, have all the impact of a law.

I didn't realize it was OK to "bypass" the constitution. What happened to President Nixon? Bill Clinton impeached? When?

There is something kind of comical (in a sick way) about having a President like Clinton impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice, because he lied about his morally outrageous sex life, but not impeaching Presidents for treason against the Constitution they swore to protect and defend. I guess little things like treason & crimes against humanity aren't considered morally outrageous enough for the average Joe.

Clinton, like most presidents, committed a lot of horrific crimes that should have gotten him impeached, but it seems most people were willing to overlook them. Screwing around in office, however, was the unforgivable sin and he had to be deposed.

I think Mr. & Mrs. America had better get their moral compasses checked...they are pointing in the wrong direction.

It is not really Mr. & Mrs. America who needs their moral compasses checked. The sex scandal was a witch hunt by the Christian Zionist Ken Star, whom I suspect is an impostor and infiltrator of the worst kind in this country who always follow a specific agenda outlined by the secret society he is part of.

The instructions for this kind of witch hunt operation are laid out in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. What ever you believe about that document... it is being used and followed by this secret (Zionist) society.

They will use sexual scandal to discredit, blackmail and bribe public officials in order to manipulate them or destroy their credibility, which is exactly what he (Ken Starr) did to Clinton. Monica Lewinsky... was a plant. She was a "honeypot" planted by them.

American still liked Clinton even after they tried to do their worst to him. laugh Women still loved him, Men still admired him.

It was just a blow job.

the federal courts already said he violated some amendments, but no body is doing anything about it. and besides that, what has obama actually accomplished? nothing anyone cares about, besides his backers agenda. he may not be the worst prez ever, but close to it...
