Aug. 14) - An off-duty Elko County sheriff's deputy was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after her husband, a fellow deputy, pulled her over.

Charlotte Moore, 36, a jail deputy, was off duty driving her 2004 Pontiac Grand Am on Saturday when she was pulled over by her husband, Elko County Sheriffs Deputy Mike Moore, a police report said.

In two separate accounts of the incident, Mike Moore indicated she initially was pulled over for either speeding or making an illegal turn.

She allegedly left before being administered a portable breathalyzer test, the Elko Daily Free Press reported.

Mike Moore pulled her over again and called for backup. He left shortly after another officer arrived.

Mike Moore was following procedure when he asked for backup, Elko County Undersheriff Rocky Gonzalez told the newspaper.

Neither Mike nor Charlotte Moore was available for comment Monday. She reportedly had been drinking approximately two hours earlier at a downtown business group's wine walk, the newspaper said.

Charlotte Moore was released on Sunday and placed on paid administrative leave.

This is really sad when your own husband pulls you over for DUI.
I happen to know Mike Moore, he is an honest cop (sheriff).

I bet when it comes out it will be a case of bringing your home life to work.
An arguement continued by abuse of his power!!

She was drunk, but if they werent already arguing he would have have ignored it. He probably has a thousand time before as well as a thousand other incidents of police being above the law.

Double atandard cops let their buddies get away with DUI's all the time!

The area in which they live, is a little rural in nature, the sheriff's department cruises the outer lying areas. Mike is an honest cop, he has pulled over other officers in the past. He does not discriminate. This time, he caught his wife, twice. She is also in law enforcement, she should know better. She got what she deserved and if she doesn't see it, then it is her own fault. Can't blame him for doing his job.

I met him when I worked for the state of Nevada, he is a great guy. It is a shame he had to catch her though, lol.

Sorry i did not notice your thread here when i posted mine. When i saw this on Fox News and they were blaming the husband for his actions it just really hit a nerve u might say. i am for honest cops. He apperently believes in his job and was ridiculed for it. I am going through the court system over a bad cop. But after i gave a lawyer $4000 then 2 days later i got a letter saying my court date has been moved back. You see i can not supposedly recover my $4000 and now they can drop the case and I am just out. U see i my ex-wifes family was or is in law enforcement and i know what kinda crap they did while i was married for 17 years to her. The warrant i was arrested with no one can find. Where i moved too has checked the state computers and it has disappeared. The drug task force team showed up at my door with a warrant that said dangerous approach withcaution. They did not even believe what they were doing. the dispatcher here said they showed up and refused to let the county come get me as they know me well. I was promiced a copy of the warrant and never got it. kept being told someone else has it. Yet they do not want to drop the charges of growing pot. Strange the next morning my daughter called and said Dad you got arrested last night. I said why do you say that? Well mom said u were being arrested for growing pot in your house. 3 days earlier i had introduced my daughter to my fiance who i had got engaged too. You see i know where all this came from and all the judges are friends of my ex's family. They just wanted to see a little pain i have no doubt the charges which thier are none will be dropped now i have been out the money. Are u in law enforcement? Do u or anyone know what i can do about this bendictiveness? trying to keep my faith about alot of things but i still get red in the face now.. haha. Blessings... Miles

I see no difference miles. This man knew whose car he was pulling. He knew who was driving, and I doubt it was the first time she had drove drunk.
It was just the timing that made him pull her, Ill bet!
Honesty is good, but if he let her do it before and chose this time to pull her over then more than likely his deciscion was based on spite, not honesty!

Either that or it was blantant stupidity........laugh laugh laugh

From what Fox news reporters interview with the sheriffs dept. spokesperson. They said she made an illegal turn he turned on his sirens and did not realize it was his wife untill he ran the plate. She then sped off while he went to get a breathalizer. She flat out did wrong. Tell MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVERS your views. I guess women are exempt in this country as i have posted earlier the woman in Tenn that killed her Husband spent less time in jail than 3 homeless people for witnessing a crime. I suppose the feminists movement would say this is Justice also... miles

He didn't KNOW it was his wife until he RAN THE PLATE? Doesn't he know what she drives, something is fishy here, and i don't give a rats ars, i could never do that to my wife, what a fool, I hope she divorces his ars.
