Topic: What's with the fake pictures?!

Why do so many people use celb pictures instead of their own when, they are planning to meet people through here?! I mean sure they use landscape, animals and artwork as well, but those we know aren't the person...the other seems dishonest to me. I mean it does not matter if the other person doesn't recognize your borrowed face...What do you expect they will do when they actually find out you do not look like that?

At first I was like Then I was like..a newbie Welcome to Mingle2. Thinking its the second time in two weeks I've been hurt over my choice of pics. I love clowns..have posted my real pic many times in the threads It's a love for Clowns..n Harleyquinn..fun..and a comfort for me

Most "fake" pictures are obvious. But if it is real photo of a face of a person, how would you know it is fake?

In all honesty,I've been around here a little over a year. I've learned to NOT take this site that serious. Right now I'm not dating or looking to date anyone. If I were I wouldn't be here. Really, For two reasons. I don't know how it is in other parts of the world,But in mine,This site is dead as a door nail. I never see anyone within 50 to 100 miles of me sign in here. A lot haven't signed in here in months. Most,In years. I'm reasonably sure that most of them are using a more popular site. I will not name it here because I don't want to spam this site.(I like the forums here.) The other reason,Well,It's really two more. Yes,I've noticed a lot of fake pictures. I'm not just talking about the obvious fakes like the clowns and such. I'm talking about the scammers. This place,I hate to say it,But it's full of them. I get messages almost everyday from some scammer. I've been doing this for so long I can pick them out with ease.No problem. When I get ready to start dating again I doubt I will use this site for that. Not just because it's dead in my part of the world. Also because of the scammers,But mostly because so many don't take it serious enough to at least post a decent picture of themselves. I guess some may not agree with me about that. If they don't,It's OK. I guess I got use to the other sites that don't allow such as that. You either post a picture of yourself or you don't. No fakes of any kind are tolerated. It's easy to spot fake pictures if you know what to look for.

scammers are on every site.there is not site that doesn't allow them cos nobody knows who they are.i am a moderator on a few different reputable sites and believe me we got em by the hundreds.this site is fine.the forums are cool.no site is scammer free sadly.but don't the genuine people make up for them?i think so.

Not sure if there's one reason in particular. When people put a pic of a celebrity as their main profile pic, then sometimes it's to reflect that the celebrity is their role model. Though, yes, I also know that some just like pretending to be them. lol. I had pics of myself up, on here, in the past, but not gonna put any updated one's yet, due to a hairdressing hair dye fault :/ So when my new hair colour is put right, I'll have my new one's up.

I lay it all out on the table, what you see is what you get. (Which reminds me I got kicked out of a bar for doing that once) I'll talk to anyone pic or no pic, real or fake. I've met some great folks both in the forums & out. Dating, I've talked with plenty in NY. Some 2-3 hours away which aint bad if you click with or like someone farther away.
