It's not you, it's the modern era. A lot of us who are traditional, were born in the eighties or earlier, so we know dating to be far different, than what we see on tv these days. I get that people younger than me, may not know any different. That's okay, for them, but I'd probably prefer going for lunch than just some casual quick fling and then buh-bye-won't-be-seeing-you-again. I feel old now. . The right guy just hasn't showed up yet.

I was born in the late sixties and I don't remember dating being any different than it is now, apart from the fact that now we have the internet. Conservative people love to blame everything on the modern world but the mythical "golden age" is a fiction.

I figure recycling the old forum subjects helps make the site appear to be active? Not been a lot of "new" topics but then some of the prolific people have crossed over to other sites. Or gone to "special Population Specific Sites.

Maybe you need to try a little patience? Try talking to people as friends first and if some has an interest in you they'll say so for sure just don't give up, there's a lot if coffee lovers here on mingle

as for me am the wrong side of the pond.all the nice guys are in the states. Not necessarily... I'm sure there are great guys out there, the one problem I find: they are attached to psychos!
