my friend's stuck in that type of relationship. everytime he screws up, all it takes is for him to say "baby i'm sorry, i promise i will never hurt you again". i understand her taking him back once...maybe even twice but anymore than that, it just frustrates me.

anyway, in my case, i dated a jerk once. he crossed the line so i just ignored him completely. the jerk still calls, but i don't see a point in wasting my time on him at all.

I like how Baby Doll misunderstood my statements. If someone NEEDED psychological help, that's different and I wouldn't make fun of them.

Baby Doll, I joke a lot true, but I am serious when a problem seriously arises. It makes me wonder why someone would seek serious psychological help over the INTERNET, but if I saw an actual need, that's no time for joking around.

Breaking ANY addiction is tough, believe me I know. I guess I'm saying if you have a friend like this, help them, but only once they realize something is actually wrong, or they'll never listen.

Maybe it's a good time to agree to disagree. None of us have all the answers and everybody is different and attracted to something/someone for any number of reasons. I don't think anybody wants to feel like they fit into a particular category or psychological profile because they fell in love with the wrong person and others are either just trying to help or maybe make light of a difficult situation.
