Ok so a woman is fabulous, but she's got 30lbs to lose. How off putting is that to you guys? Will you give her a chance?

The total package is what is important for me.

A person can be thick or thin, as long as they are happy in their own skin.

Absolutely. I've got about 15 lbs to lose, so I'm not one to start being snobbish about weight.

A woman I was completely in love with when I was in my 20s had about 30 lbs to lose by her estimation. She was fun, a calming presence in my life, and an exciting, giving lover. She was also 20 years older than me, and a mentor of sorts as well as a partner. I gave no thought as to her weight whatsoever.

I can't answer that question, but I'll know when I see her.

30 pounds to lose to get where? To get rail thin? I like a woman with curves. I think it's subjective. Some guys like curves, some like skinny, etc. I don't want flabby or lumpy, though there are guys for that too. Tone a bit, realizing our age though, and that you've probably had kids.

I have dated men that are very over weight as I like them for who they are; unfortunately very few men like an over weight woman. Most want the model figure so us normal gals don't have a chance. Oh well; such is life.

The question was asked, how important is the height/weight proportionate when it comes to men asking a women out. It depends on what you are looking for. Often the beautiful men/women are shallow and not worth your time and effort.

I'm a full figured women and have no problems. I stay involved in life and have a positive attitude. I know many men/women who have no problems dating because they are overweight.

The important thing is to stay involved in life, involved in things that are important to you. The rest will fall into place.

I dont have any problems getting dates..Im curvy and they tell me they like that which is why I posted what I did earlier. The guys are pretty good looking and in good shape so alot of men do prefer curves..I believe though that some men just say they do because they cant get what they want at the moment

Yep; and the curvy girls remain dateless. laugh

I am more interested in the stuff between her ears (brains) then how much she weighs. Now if she is in terrible condition health wise, thats another thing altogether.

Navygirl, it'd be a heck of a drive, but I'd take you out. If you didn't mind a former enlisted. I might be worried about you kicking my butt though, judging by the weights you're lifting

Its a matter of the heart not a matter of the size.If you down for someone, you going to do your best to help that person in any way you see fit.If she or he is on the skinney size. Bring them lotsa sweets. If he or she is a little too thick.Do not bring them sweets and tell them we will walk or you going to walk away and not look back.FACT Soulmate helpmate loving mate.Just be a good mate.
