I dont think that anyone can really be 100 percent honest all the time, there will always be times that you twist things a little so that you dont hurt peoles feelings.

Honesty has hindered my progression in a big way. I feel like Jim Carrey in Liar Liar, I don't lie, although I wouldn't blurt out anything that could/would hurt someone's feelings. I would love to be able to bend the truth slightly.

I agree with what others have already said, sometimes you need to be more tactful than honest.

I once dated a woman who said all I needed to do was be honest with her, within 2 months she said- ok you don't have to be so honest any more. Go figure.

I might want to do that for a minor, but why should I do that for an adult who isn't somehow mentally ill or disabled?

More tactful than honest, without being dishonest, because he believes she does look nice in those jeans even though her backside may look a bit big.

Rather him be comfortable enough with himself to be straight up honest with me and run the risk of upsetting me. Maybe I need that little push because he can see something I already know and help me with the problem.

100% not a chance, man would destroy itself in a heartbeat. we are all from top to toe actors, the superficial intelligence conrol the mental dialogue that control all of our internal reflections. we are nothing more than a mirror, we are feeding information / refeletioner constant and when it gets silent, we eat up the information we received, everything is just one big web of lies. my honesty differs from people I care about and everyone else, I'm 100% brutally honest with those I care for and yes it gets me in trouble with some of them but there are a few who stay and return the favor, as a result we become far closer than we ever could have been otherwise.
