Well, "feelings" isn't a synonym of "facts"
A person's feelings can conflict with facts.
So, one can share feelings and still be wrong about the facts.

of course, if people wanted to read 'facts' they have libraries and books, encyclopedias and dictionaries

but in normal CASUAL discourse, people instead express their perception about FACTS, along with their opinions and feelings about those perceptions,,,
