save a horse.. ride an island boy..lol Vancouver island
timber cutter.( helli faller) just been healing up since the
end of January & it wasn't work related but it put an end
to my drinking career..so it was a good thing, so now
I want to concentrate on work for a few years, the $s
good and the works been great the last four years
plus a do danger tree falling in northern BC & AB
in the winter, if I want. so I have options, plus with
150 days off per year, just working on my passport now.

I did not know there was timber to be cut on Vancouver
Island. Sounds like a great job, do they put you up
also, with room and board or does that come out
of your pocket?

Aren't the girls cuties?? :-)

yes they are cuties, sounds like it was pretty funny..lol.
was trying to respond last night but the battery in my phone is allready packing it in,
as I can't even be on the net wilh it pluged in anymore, as off last night.
its an S 3 and is only three months old.:-( I should of taken the battery out of the
last one, before I threw it in to the wall:-( the best & worst things in life are
most spontaneousohwell

yes, they are cutting lots of second growth fir on the southend, east side of the island
but thats mechanical cut (fellerbuncher) much as I see going on
in Oregon (species type) but north island is a very wet belt, with
much cedars, spruce, hemlock and balsam.mainly all helicopter
logging, so the work may be on the island or surrounding
islands or any mainland inlet as far north as the bottom of the
Alaska panhandle (se AK ) just take a float plane of
the north/mid island. then sometimes look on a map
when you get in to camp to see " where in the f... am I..lol.
the camps are usually a big barge made in to a flaoting
camp with helli pads and a shop:smile: and would be
docked close to the hill, so you could spent as long as a month
just on the hill or the bardge, but it all weather permitting, fog is
the big enemy, as well as wind, some times we don't start till noon
waiting for the fog to lift, some days no work no pay, we all have
LTD Companies & pay are own compensation, at about 8%
but we get 550 for the max hours we are permitted to work, and that 6 1/2 h per day

Camps are owned by the Client and is always suppled free to all, or the prime sometimes my pay
if its a hotel show

All I can think is, that must be a hella
demanding job to pay that much..most
interesting spot though, wind and fog aside.

I did introduce Kristi to a chocolate cake shot and out drank her...then again she was too busy talking to drink lol

what's that ? just tasts like chocolate cake?? I guess?

what's in a texas slinger, do you know?

had a bartender gf from Oregan, and she taught some
bartender in Canada how to make them for us in 98,
are they ever good. I think there was 5 shots per drink, in this fancy place in Vancouver, the Pan Pacific Hotel, they charged $32 for the drinks, it made enough
for 2 drinks but still its half of a texas slinger each..lol

I think this is it: Texas Sling drink recipe made with Amaretto,Coffee Liqueur,Cream,Irish Cream,Rum

A chocolate cake tastes just like one but you drink it like tequila. It has sugar on the rim (instead of salt) and you do the lemon after
