I just read a profile where the guy suggested going to the mall for a first date. I've heard others suggest it, too. While I get the idea of something cheap, where you can talk, I cannot ever see going to the mall on a date like that. There are so many other places to go, so why the mall?

Just meeting at a mall, sounds like something Teenagers would do. Not a real date, for me anyway. I go out, with Mature men, who know where to take a lady.

there's a place in Galveston called the Strand, an out-door mall type place with bars and other more family type places too... it's great for a first date,and right on the beach too..

Maybe its a good choice in inclement weather. Lots of malls are nice for just walking around. I lived near one that a group of seniors always met there in their sweats for powerwalking. Ooo, and a cinnabon for a coffee stop. There are so many little shops and stuff around here that I can't see choosing a mall to go to for a date. If they want to go to a coffee shop, I'd rather go a locally owned shop instead. |
