Their religion wouldn't effect my feelings for somebody.

Their using their religion to try and effect my life style would.

Could not have said it better myself.

I can't stand people who try to impose their belief in a single or multiple magical wizards in the sky.

As long as no one makes it a point to shove their beliefs down my throat, I make it a point not to bring it up at all. Everyone is free to believe what they wish, doesn't mean I have to agree to it.....

Yeah, but wouldn't you automatically get that?
For instance, many of the Christians I see around here go to church twice a day on Sundays.
Meaning if I had such a partner, we could never plan to do something nice on a Sunday, as he would have to go to church, twice.
Furthermore, dinner would have to be served at a certain time, before church, which starts at 6. So you'd have to start cooking around 4.30 (16.30). Meaning if I would cook, I'd have to stop whatever it is I'm doing to cook so he could go to church on time.
No sleeping in together on Sundays, as he'd have to go to church.
He might want to pray before dinner or maybe even every meal. Meaning I'd have to wait or be silent (I guess).

So even if he wouldn't force anything on me, it would still affect my life-style.

wrong ..

in Islam , Muslim male can marry non Muslim female without the need for her to convert , but the opposite is not true .... Muslim Female can't marry non Muslim male until he converts to Islam ...
that's one of the main contradictions in Islam

"Wouldn't affect my feelings for them", doesn't mean I'd marry
them. I can still love somebody in spite of our "religious"
differences.
