My sister is a whole foot taller than me. So unfair! She has a giant pickup truck that I can barely get into.

In the dating world?
For men, yes. For women, not so much. Heigth is intimidating in all facets of life, and who wants to be intimidating when they are looking for a cuddle partner?

This better? waving

I'm 4'11"
But I have a really fine step stool:smile:

Me too! waving

Ohhhhh it's nice to find kindred short people!!

I'm old too, so it's very important for me that I can be independent.
I also have a cordless drill, and a nice basic tool kit.

The advantages and disadvantages even themselves out. For example, a tall person and a short person go to the supermarket. The tall person can get things off the top shelf without straining. The short person can get things off the bottom shelf without bending their legs.

I usually climb in hopes that some tall man will stop to help me... sometimes it work, but mostly it ends up being women slaphead

laugh

I stand there and jump up and down, pointing. Usually someone takes pity to help. I got a real tall Wal-Mart person who happened to be one of the big managers. She was able to see the dilemma that short people experience. She said you get those workers to help you anytime, cuz I'm afraid we can't lower the shelves anytime soon!! Hahahahahahahaha

Ummmmmmm no!

Geometrically speaking tall people are at a disadvantage. There is a reason why Sports Cars are low. They are closer to the ground, better traction, better Aerodynamics. (Which is why tall people fall a lot) laugh laugh
Being shorter you can fit into small places, easily be a stow away, or hide in the cup port if we need to. pitchfork

Im 5'2" and dynamite definitely comes in small packages. When you get to know me, you will know why I say that! #facts

Anyone who has been in Mammoth Cave understands this one. Some of us who are shorter don't hit our heads on ceilings as easily

Are there advantages that go with being tall, and do short people lose anything for being short?

Yep

The gals like taller men. the line usually being 6 foot. While they don't come right out and say it, they don't like to date guys their height or shorter then them

So in a nutshell, short guys get screwed.. sorry... but that's the way it is.

Not too many advantages to being short. Two things I really hate doing are clothes shopping and car shopping.

I'm not crazy about clothes shopping either cat. If the store doesn't have petite sizes, it's tough to find anything that fits right.

not all gals. I personally prefer my height or up to two inches shorter. I really dont like the idea of having to look up to kiss someone or kneel down :shruggyguy:

Tall people bump their head a lot more, which leads to brain damage.. The world is set up for those under 6 foot..frustrated

Absolutely!
There are definitely advantages to being tall.
Meetings, secret handshakes, better rates on
car rentals.

Oh crap!
I wasn't suppose to talk about it.

hey Ruff, nice to see you on here

and on topic,

Yes height is an advantage for men for dating
but not for women in dating for some reason.

i thinl it is a dominance thing. Tall people appear more intimidating typically. Men want to "toss their woman around" or so I've read in multiple posts on the subject.
