Short people could have a problem getting on some of the rides at the fair.

Well the serious answer is yes, of course there is an advantage for being tall. Obvious advantages.
Playing basketball, reaching the top shelf, etc.
I also read it somewhere that it helps you advance in a business word, meaning you get promoted because being tall makes you look superior.

That also works for attractive people. Good looks and tall height are socially considered signs of superiority.

Are there advantages that go with being tall, and do short people lose anything for being short?

Could be indeed. Not talking about playing basketball, lol.
I have a cousin - a guy who is 6.7 feet tall. He is a really big guy, who has told me many times that has had no problems ever with achieving his aims in life, just because his size. No one wants to argue with a big guy. He owns and runs a private company.
I am 6.03 and feel myself really short compared to him, lol.
If it comes to tall guys and short women .. then a very special to me person has been worried already that we might not look good together, when she's much shorter than me ..
Well, I personally love short women
..

Medium-tall people and well proportioned are the best/women and men/

All is ok for them...clothes/shoes/places/even sex!....and more

I'm not extremely tall, but reasonably tall. I never found it to be an advantage at all, it's a disadvantage as far as I'm concerned.
- Clothes are made for average height of 1.68m, I'm 1.76m. So this can be a problem to have something fit nicely. (trousers and sleeves are sometimes too short)
- Most of my friends have always been lots shorter, not nice as short friends make me look even taller.
- Men usually prefer short women. Great if you go out with short friends!
- In older houses the worktops, wash-basins and bogs are too low.
- Household supplies: mops and tubes of vacuum-cleaners are usually too short

Go on holiday, book a tour on a local tour-bus in Turkey (or another country where ppl tend to be shorter) or a cheap flight. You gotta sit with your knees up against the chair in front of you for hours on end. Very uncomfortable.

The only advantage I have is that I usually can get to stuff on the top shelf without a step.
And you can appear to be more erm ... daunting/strong, which in social life isn't pleasant, but I've been a teacher and in that setting it sometimes was an advantage. Although the effect wears off and you're back to being strong, not appearing to be strong.

I always found it somewhat weird that ppl tend to think you are dominant cos of your height, as it's usually the short women that have a sting, not the taller ones.

So all in all, no advantage in being tall.

For the ladies i don't think there are much advantages nevertheless Short boys tend to go through a lot of social stress as people or the girls tend to adore taller men

Short people...
They got little baby legs
That stand so low
You got to pick 'em up
Just to say hello

The advantages and disadvantages even themselves out. For example, a tall person and a short person go to the supermarket. The tall person can get things off the top shelf without straining. The short person can get things off the bottom shelf without bending their legs.

Not too many advantages to being short. Two things I really hate doing are clothes shopping and car shopping.

In the dating world?
For men, yes. For women, not so much. Heigth is intimidating in all facets of life, and who wants to be intimidating when they are looking for a cuddle partner?
