On the plus side, waiting a bit to call makes it easier to get your nerves together, so you don't make fool of yourself. Until she says "WHO" ...lol I like to call right away as it's going to probably be uncomfortable,depending on her,sometimes your will feel she likes you even if the conversation was like pulling teeth. But I like to text her right there, and say "so you'll have my # too " just to ovoid all the anticipation of calling someone then realizing she gave me a bogus # then feeling real stupid, this way I can look real stupid as well. Then I make her cry and split!

Where did this 3 day rule come from? Some fruitcake thats wrote a book, people read it and believe that crap? Better to just go with the flow, as this 3 day rule crap doesn't work, cos everybody is different and reacts differently. If some1 doesn't call me? Fine, I ain't gonna lose any sleep over it and I move on. I would'nt want to go with anyone who lives their life just because of what some1 says in a book. I ain't a Sheep!

I was talking to a friend of mine today about dating. He gave his number to a lady and hasnot heard from her yet. He said she was probably waiting three days so that she would not seem desperate. Does this three day rule really exist? Who uses this rule and why three days? obviously when someone gives you her number she wants you rto call her i call that night |

I rarely give my phone nr, don't want ppl bothering me with text, Whatsapp etc, so I don't easily give my nr. Meaning if he doesn't call after I DID give him my number, I will lose sleep over it. |

Me; I used to give a guy a couple of days to call then move on. If I called him and he made up some excuse; I take it he is not interested and move on. I never had time or patience for these silly phone call games that men play.

So, most everyone nowadays says they don't play games etc. yet aren't these unwritten rules nothing but games of assumption?
I don't want to appear desperate! I don't want her/him to think I don't have a social life! What's the point? I mean, seriously! Who are we kidding? I say go by your gut feel! What does your instincts tell you? You are either interested in having a conversation or not! That's all it is - a conversation that could go well or not! What do we have to lose? Isn't it worth a few minutes of your time to see if there is a connection? I say put the silliness away and go with your intuition or gut feel!  |

If a woman gives me her number I just ask her when would be a good time to call. Shows that I'm keen and prepared to do what's convenient for her. I believe this is the best option so far. Good one Tawt Strat I'm going to use that idea from now on!! |

I don't have a set amount of time but I usually wait a couple of days so I don't seem desperate or to see if she really wanted me to call and I hate to admit it but to let being nervous die down a bit. I will ask when they plan to call..if they wait a day or 2 I will assume they aren't too interested and probably won't bother with them again. I'm just not interested in playing this game. |
