I would like to be taken to a quiet beachside place; have candlelight on the table, a glass of champagne, the smell of flowers in the air and then take a quiet stroll along the beach as the sun is setting.

I once had this type of dream date, and setting has nothing much to do with it, it's the vibe between two ppl that will make or break a dream date.
The one time I had this really really special date, we only had eyezz for each other and after at least an hour we noticed there was this bloke sitting at another table. He had been watching us all evening, simply enjoying the way we were beaming, happy, falling in love.
This happened to be in Amsterdam, but it wouldn't have mattered where it was. Don't think either of us paid any heed to our surroundings.
One of the most romantic evenings of my life.

I really enjoy simple things. Good conversation, an ice cream shop, a walk somewhere pretty. It's more about the person than the date itself, I think.

Something simple, good food, good conversation,a campfire,a snifter of french cognac, soft music, and someone genuine and down to earth to share it with.

I have the ability to drink a beer, eat the simplest food, put out my camping light (battery run), put the waterhose on and walk on the wet grass and imagine I'm really at the beachside with candlelight, champagne etc. I dream of the possibilities but am very content with the realities. Dodgy enough Larsson?

Yeah I have to agree the setting isn't as important as the company. However going places were both parties have mutual interest is always a good starting point.

The answer to you question depends on where you are in the relationship. Is it a first date or is it the hundredth? For a first date take to to do something fun and exciting, preferable something she has never done before, and something nontheatening. In a more permanent relationship take her on a weekend mini vacation in a super romantic location, my personal favorite is winter park colorado during a good snow year (go skiing or snowmodiling durring the dsy and st night Light a fire and cook dinner together and have one heck of a romantic evening).

I recently had a dream date.
Everything was prefect!
I can't remember much, but I was smiling so much my face started to hurt.

Then my alarm clock rang.

As a dream date?

Mine would consist of having a good time with a nice person who likes me for who I am. The setting doesn't really matter it could be a walk or getting a drink together and just chatting.

I never expect anything from anyone. I'd just rather take things as they come. I have no ideal.

Dream dates only require you to go to sleep...

A dream date would require laughter, something fun to do, and my date would act like a gentleman. We may end the date taking a stroll in the moonlight or sipping wine by the fireplace.
