This being an international/multi-cultural site saying a person MUST live in Belfast and you are a devout Christian may have something to do with that. When ever you narrow the field with restrictions it reduces the number who will answer you. And saying you are unemployed on your profile. That is probably not the best selling point.

Exactly (followon to jerseygirlSINGLE). Look at your email restrictions. Do you want them tight? At the moment, as you have it set up, I could not email you. And, neither could a female who was 51. I tried to send a reply to a match request that it wouldn't work and her email restrictions prevented it....she is now wondering why I never replied or showed interest. Well, I can't get past the email barrier!

Also, do you rotate your pictures and update your profile? New people join in and one picture may work where another doesn't.

Have fun and good luck.

Indeed the way you set it up is not very appealing. You're looking for a much younger woman, you're not employed, very religious, she's gotta live in Dublin. Those perimeters don't allow for much. And, however harsh it may seem, a disability will make it more difficult as well.`
And wanting contact with others; why is it only women can reply?

This is your seventh post in two years. spock

Perhaps you should become just a tad bit more active in the forums if you're looking to make contact with people.

Welcome to Mingle. You can make more friends if you let people get to know you in the forums. I know it's tough for newcomers to get responses to their posts but if you read topics and join in, before long you'll be one of the gang. drinker

Minimal effort will get ya minimal results. Post more. That's my advice. smokin

Good luck. flowerforyou

Also, who cares if people reply or not? Enjoy the journey. I don't give a damn if anyone responds to me or not, but I think I ought to expand my social horizons so I'm giving it a try.

Plus, I already enjoy a strong social circle outside the internets, thankfully. It prevents runaway emotions from getting the best of you on these sites, believe me.

I'm still new here, but so far I think the best way I've found to get to know people better here is to post on the forums. Just relying on the Mingle2 match system seems to be like being on a store market shelf or something...which isn't very fun. Being able to chat on the forums here has made my time more enjoyable and I like this feature better than other places I've been prior to now.

Tell me about it. I've been using this dating site for about two months now I reckon, and I still haven't found myself a woman. They're way too fussy man. Most of them already have kids so they aren't interested in having wild nights out. So that really narrows it down for me.

Off topic, sightly. I visited Holland back in 1963 when I was in the Navy. Loved it except for the cold, it was late September. Tied up in Haven Park near a large statue dedicated to the resitance during WWII. Fascinated by the beautiful tugs going past each day. I can see from your age that it isn't you I have a picture of, but she could be your Mom. Her father was an Admiral in the Dutch navy.

My granddad was a teacher, also very respectable job in those days, but not an admiral, haha.
Don't know where you were? Which havenpark are you talking about? Amsterdam??
