I'm a reasonably female and great relationship material. Here's the dilemna: the relationship is going very well for several months and he's met your family or your kids but he never acknowledges your existence with his own family. Everytime they call up, you go in the other room or make sure you're quiet so they don't know you're around. I feel as though after a certain period of time, if it has potential----when can I come out of the closet?

My first thought is that he's married or otherwise involved with someone. Have you asked him why the "hiding"? I would. It doesn't need to be confrontational but I'd try to work it into the conversation somehow.

I do agree though...something is not right!!! The first thing I thought was that maybe he is still married!! I would refuse to be hid, if I wasn't good enough to be around his family....then I would dump him in a heartbeat!!  I AGREE with the REST, HE SHOULD HAVE DONE LET "YOU" BE A PART OF "HIS", NOT hide them, or "YOU".....   I wish YOU the BEST, and hope HE has a very GOOD REASON for HIS lack of SHOWING YOU his family....

Well, while I certainly can't think of a good reason for this, there very well could be a very plausible explanation, which is why I suggested not being confrontational, at least at first. Work it in, see what he says, go from there. I guess I believe in giving someone the benefit of the doubt, until there's absolute proof that they don't deserve it.
