k. i just got my car back from being stolen on friday. she was gone for two weeks and they didnt do much damage other than putting a strip key in my steering column. and we got it to where my key works so she was running and everything and then she didnt work the next day. then we fixed the battery cable because it wasn't tight enough and i drove her around yesterday and now i just went out to leave to do some errands and she's back to not working! I SWEAR THIS CAR HATES ME!

well when you open the door it beeps even without the key in the egnition. but when i unlocked it today it was a different beep. and when i went to start it there was no noise at all. and we went and fixed everything with the battery and i dont know what else it would be.

well need make model and symptoms

kinda like some one saying

---why don't i feel well

ya got any idea why---

good luck hope ya get it figured out

and if it is a gm with the chip in the key i would say you are not getting the proper resistance reading regularly

do not know much about those

but what is happening when you turn the key

and if it is doing nothing

try turning the key to on

and trying some of the electrical stuff to see if they work

if they do

try turning on the headlights then try starting again

if they go out or dim dramaticly

it is an electrical issue with not getting enough

power to the starter

charge your battery and if that doesn't work check the alternator.

When they stole the car, they jimmied the ignition switch.

All your symptoms are consistent with a defective ignition switch.

Replace the ignition switch.

The operative words here are: ignition switch.
