Yea it is usual if they are a scammer , prostitute, going to try and sell you something, or tell you some hard luck story so you will send her money. Oh yea if she offers you a link chances are it is a bogus site and you are going to get hacked.

depends on how well you've gotten to know each other....trust your gut. if it's situation where it's feasible that u might meet, and she's wanting to hear your voice on the phone it's prolly OK. if she's from another continent and asking for your email...run like hell...

They aren't all bogus. I've had women on here asking me if I wanted to chat with them offsite and they were genuine and just prefered texting or Facebook or whatever.

You've got to bear in mind that a lot of women get loads of spam on here and just guys constantly hassling them. This isn't me criticising the site. Just saying that some women that I've talked to don't like it that much.

I'm not giving advice but personally I won't email offsite with anybody that I haven't met in person but I'm happy enough to chat on the phone if the email correspondence on here goes well enough with them.

If you feel comfortable with it, and she isn't giving off any bad impression could be she just wants to get to know you on a different level. Doesn't mean shes out for the worst i have emailed to message off site before. It may also be easier for her then this websites layout. I wouldn't look to far into it

Scammers are usually the ones to do that. I had one person, as I've mentioned else where in the forums, that asked me to chat with her on facebook and I gave her a secondary facebook account to talk to me on. I had no pictures of myself on it at all. After that she accused me of being a scammer. But she was probably phishing for info and there is little to no chance that I will ever meet that person in real life anyway.

Of course not!

What a silly chick!

What you're REALLY supposed to do is spend years "talking" in emails, before you advance to "chatting" on a webcam. Then after two years of chatting on a webcam you're officially "engaged". You may, or may not choose to send her a virtual engagement ring. She will register the event online of course, and you will have a bachelor party at PokerStars.com

Then everyone will gather at the Yahoo cam chatroom for the "wedding", after which you may then legally engage in internet sex with your new bride. grumble

Or you could get a life, meet her, and if you're lucky, you might get laid.shades

Viper1J I think you are right , I think too much cyberwar di da chat / texting is odd the whole point is to meet no ? Its called Dating no ? Some people love chatting for ever on websites so refreshing to see someone saying some of my thoughts similar to mine mind you I don't think you should assume you will get " laid " I think that was amusing ! Dating is not casual sex I think some people don't know what the word means .......

I don't trust anybody, except close family and tried and tested mates. I just think that trust has to be earned?

Ok if you thought I was thinking about getting laid looks like we know where your mind is. No I was worried about my system getting hacked. If I wanted that I would have went to a different site. I'm actually here for to meet some one

Don't go out to the bar or club. Just isn't my place. Don't get me wrong I use to go all the time when I was younger just looking for something different this time

Definitely wait until you get to know more about someone and feel ready before giving out your number or meeting in person. It is best to err on the side of caution. If the person you are communicating with is legit and really interested, they will take the time to get to know more about you on-site before moving forward. I have encountered the same situation time and time again.

As did I, and when she finally decided to meet, I had to let her know that I had started seeing someone else that was interested in more than just a "'net thing."

However I told her she had top billing in the "Friends Zone". shades

She seemed upset for some reason.shocked
