LTR means Long Term Relationship; he meant LDR or Long Distance Relationship.

Depends if it is established relationship before the distance is created. Then I think they have a chance. The other way around I don't hold out a lot of hope for. Know it happens, even works, but for the few that do so many go down in flames. Then the heartache and greif for the time/dreams lost is really difficult.

Are you in favor of long distance relationship? Not really. Possibly it can work though if one or other of you relocates. Otherwise I think that you may as well just call it a holiday romance.
