Very soon there will be no need for primitive bank notes and every transaction will be carried out electronically. Some conspiracy theorists believe we'll be "encouraged" to have micro-chip implants inserted into our flesh. These chips will contain all our personal information so it seems reasonable to have them implanted. I mean, you wouldn't want to lose it now would you. So what do you think, is this one step closer to 1984?

there are plenty of indicators of the Orwellian era, the heightened police state, perpetual wars, big brother and surveillance, the control of the elites, and so on... sometimes i think the elites are using the novel as a diagram as to what to do now...

Never going to get there, fiat is fiat and is bound for total collapse.

As for implanted chips, all the entitlement crowd idiots will be lining up to get them. As a matter of fact many already have them, just not under their skin as yet.

And to those that don't understand conspiracy theories are doomed to suffer their fates.

no, people are scared of their internet conversations being 'spied on'

im doubting they will trust a 'government' chip in their bodies,,,

what they COULD do, however, is add an option to credit and debit cards to possibly just attach the fingerprint to the account and program a fingerprint into their systems for retrieving funds or making payments(That we already naturally have) , and bypass the card and the pin,,,

Before you pronounce the death of physical currency, watch the ending of the movie Escape from L.A..

Not long after I watched that movie on TV, a single satellite malfunctioned, causing the loss of the use of machines that used credit/debit cards. Thankfully, the loss was brief.

When I was a retail cashier, there was more than one occasion when the technology controlling the use of credit cards in my store somehow malfunctioned, making it difficult for people to make purchases via credit cards.

The paradigm of the proverbial slave, please find a way to totally control me. Please government, control my life from birth to grave, please give to me what is not mine and I will promise eternal gratitude for your protection. A perfect solution for the entitlement crowd.

laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

what 'entitlement' would come from anything posted in this thread?

that obsession is really scary,, in a hilarious kind of way,,,,,

because people feel 'entitled' to see 'entitlement' in every issue

and they are slaves to the obsessive vision of everything that they dont approve of being slavery

meaning, the only way to not be a 'slave' for them is to agree with them,, or to be a 'slave' to their opinions by default

Who here believes most all career politicians in DC, including oButmeister?

Biden is sure to have one. Wouldn't take much for him to get lost and someone would need to go find old drunk.

Tattooed barcodes would work for long term welfare sluts.

That way, they couldn't sell they stamps fer crack.

Old news. Chips are already in enhanced DLs, passports and international passcards.

Guess nobodys heard of the dream act, real ID, or any number of other bills that constantly pass thru the legislative.

They already have you tracked thru your car, cell phone, computer, bank, drivers license and ID cards, satellite, drone and street cameras, you think they won't try to mandate a chip?

Someone talked about CTers.... what about the stink the churches raised....calling it the "mark of the beast"?

This has been an agenda for so long that when they do it to our children at schools it barely reaches the news.

All in the name of security......

I could "almost" agree with a temporary chip in our adolescent children to prevent child abductions and trafficking, but I would never agree with it as an adult! Problem is, if we allowed it in our children, eventually it would be downplayed and removing them would soon be propagandized as an unnecessary hassle, not even worth considering.... like the abuses of the NSA our congress agree with....until it's turned on them.....

Another legacy we leave our children on top of the govt debt and abuses to law they now face?
