Well I was inspired by one of the other members to start this one up. I would love to know what you think of us dads who have full custody of their kids. I know doesn't happen often but it does happen. Myself I have been hated on had women break dates as soon as they found out I have kids. so I really need to know what you think so please help me out....

Personally, it wouldn't bother me, BUT speaking as a devil's advocate. Some women may haveconcerns that you wouldn't have time for them, or they'd be expected to " fill" in for your children's mother.

Being a dad with full custody, you don't have the flexibility that a non custodial parent has.. some women may have a problem with that.

As a single mom, it would be a welcome reprieve to date a guys who shares the same responsibilities, commitments, restrictions, time constraints, kids illnesses, test and exam time, family outings etc.... because this father would understand why I cannot drop everything at the last minute and be spontaneous without thinking about my daughter first. I think that that father would understand why I cannot just go out every week day night or why Sunday night is a school night.

I think that a woman who had decided to settle down with you should understand that you are a package deal - not that you have baggage, and be mature enough to deal with the future. It is not easy if they don't already have kids, but something they should be prepared to work through with you.

Well when I got custody of my kids my sister in law whom I still have a good relationship with tells me. Women love a man who takes care of his kids you will be sought after now. Which I have yet to see it have not had sex in over a year and no real dates to speak of women love to talk to me be friends on FB. But seems none of them think of me as someone they could date. That's all

I agree, a man with kids at the park..or playing dolls with his daughter HOT as all get out, to me.

However, when I was actually dating just for fun, nothing serious, it wasn't the single dad with full custody I would reach out to.

Of course, not all women think this, but the single dad's who aren't dating will say they do , in fact, have this issue.

I say, When dating for fun Dad's, don't lead with " I have full custody of my kids"

If you are seriously looking for a relationship... Yes, Full disclosure.

Well first i want to say dude i got great Respect to you for taking care of your kids  cheers as there are so many free loading dad's that don't even pay support let a lone take care of them ... so you are a great dad in my books ....and now as for dating always be upfront when you meet a lady about that you take care of your kids and your a single dad and if she does not accept you she was not worth the bother in the first place dude ...never let it get you down theres always more ladies out there that will respect you for being a good dad and also there are tons of sites too that are single parent sites you can try for dating  have a great day and all the best cheers

my ex hubby is a full custody dad. We never had kids together. It happened after we divorced. He left me because I had kids & pregnant wit someone else kid. (This was when we first met) He abused me for being a mom 1st & not after we married. Now tables turned. Hes treated like he treated me wit his kids(6). I have (4). Men dont see me as dating material because I cant have anymore because of cancer(ovarian). Im a survior of 5 yrs.Im. still here. You r more awesome than my sons dads. They dont want the responsibility. But keep having babies & running from caring for them & child support. I would love to date a dad who is a custodial parent. we can learn from each other.

I just don't like when people make a big fuss about it, and mention how it should be the woman bringing up children. But what choice do you honestly have when single? I think it's very admirable. Just stay out of battles with the ex. As it can corrupt a child. And a child needs a loving home. Please don't take example from ex's that argue over what is there's. A child is a life. Let it know how much it's loved by you :)
