I have been thinking again M2 members. Yes I am sure a lot of you know this is just something I do. laugh

Here are my questions for all of you:

You are meeting with someone for a first date. You have both decided that a local coffee & sandwich shop would be a good place to meet. They have tables both inside and outside. The weather is nice and you have plans on meeting around 1 pm.

Do you select a table inside or outside for the meet? Why did you make this choice?

After the initial greet of who you are, what topics do you select to discuss?

How do you let the person know you are interested without using words?

Do you tell the person when there is no connection so that it is clear?

1,For me I like outside but if you really like your date and you really want to know about him/her I preferred inside to have some privacy.
2, first date is getting to know each other right? Just ask about him/her.
3, respect him/her a simple gestures of respect will show your date you're interested, look at him/her I know it's creepy, not the look you want to eat your date alive,, looking with love,, don't forget your smile,,
4, yes don't give your date the wrong impressions, but eith respect, , ok
Hope you like it, never had a date before but iwant this to happen when I'm on a date,, goodluck,

I think that I would prefer an outdoor table. I expect this would give us a little more of a buffer between us and any surrounding distractions.
After the initial greet of who you are, what topics do you select to discuss?
I would hope for this to develop organically. After the obligatory introductory stuff, I prefer depth over trivia.
How do you let the person know you are interested without using words?
Hopefully through body language, gesture, and truly engaging the other person.
Do you tell the person when there is no connection so that it is clear?
As uncomfortable or awkward as it may be I think that if I've concluded I'm uninterested it's better to convey that sooner rather than later.

Do you select a table inside or outside for the meet?
Why did you make this choice? Inside, because you
made me pick.

After the initial greet of who you are, what topics
do you select to discuss? Who they are.

How do you let the person know you are interested
without using words? I blow a condom with my bubblegum.

Do you tell the person when there is no connection
so that it is clear? No I get away as fast as I can
and let the phone go to VoiceMail.

well I don;t do those kinds of meet & greets any more because it was wasting my time. At this point anyone who I'd agree to meet I'd have to know pretty well already so there would not be so many insecurities about something as trivial as where we sit.

I do not select a topic to discuss. If the convo doesn't flow naturally, I leave as soon as I politely can

I let the person know I am interested by being there...believe me....if I am there in the first place, that alone is a major accomplishment for him. Otherwise, I use words. I do not expect him to read minds.

If there is no connection I leave and do not accept subsequent dates

so that's my quiz paper. How'd I do? lol

It depends on the weather. If it's warm, I'd choose outside. If it's cold outside, I'd go inside [or just brave it anyway, because weather isn't that scary].

After the initial greet of who you are, what topics do you select to discuss?

Never a selection. I like to let conversation flow naturally. I can't imaging having some checklist, going "Right, here's what we'll talk about". I would feel slightly bossy trying to control topic of conversation. I'd rather just talk as we've known each other for years, and have a good jolly old time :)

How do you let the person know you are interested without using words?

I would lick my spoon, slowly, while giving him a dirty look, after stirring my hot drink. He would ALREADY know I was interested. Then back to..............mundane normality *sigh*

Do you tell the person when there is no connection so that it is clear?

No. Instead I pretend I left the iron on. I'm kidding of course. I'd let him know, but not in a harsh way.

A dirty look meaning sexy or contemptuous? Either way he'd have to be "confused" or clueless to let things return to mundane normalcy after that blatant salacious display. drool biggrin

.. my first of your four questions..

#1.. inside. the lighting is better and if it's a warm day most people are going to be outside.. do not need the added distractions.. I want your attention on me not the crowd.
. are worrying about how . hot you feel. and thinking you're sweating too much... I want you comfortable and relaxed.. and typically it's quieter inside than outside...
