Hi Stan yes I never thought of it that way I guess. You would probably have trouble deciphering my broad Yorkshire accent though, lol.I like all kinds of music though rock is my favourite. I was a big Queen fan growing up, saw them in 1982 at Leeds although I still loved punk when it exploded in 76 and electronic such as Gary Numan, Ultravox etc.Two of my favourite UK bands you might not have heard of are XTC and The Wedding Present.Might be missing for a few days because of work, catch you all soon. Damn, how did I miss this? I must have been Making Plans For Nigel. Or was I cleaning out one of myCars? I saw Queen three times over the years. Also saw the Pistols... quite a few UK bands came through back in the day. I was a big UFO fan. lol @emo I've never heard of your list, except Starship... being they were based in the San Francisco Bay area, they were quite big here in the US, being the remnants of Jefferson Airplane didn't hurt their radio and MTV play either. (Jefferson Airplane, became Jefferson Starship, became just Starship.) Though mostly on the classic stations now, just yesterday I heard Jane and Find Your Way Back while out running errands. They were big enough that even our local politicians got into the act. Willie Brown at the beginning of this video was an actual California politician, in office when the video was made. All three of these were in heavy rotation on MTV (back when they actually played music videos all day). |

What tours were Queen on when you saw them? I saw them on the Hot Space tour. I think that album was very much understood by the majority!! |
