In the spirit of Donald Sterling, shouldn't Al Sharpton be banned from TV? Sterling's racist rant was at least done in private while Sharpton's tirades were intended for public consumption.

But to hear Al Sharpton say it, he's not racist because he was only disparaging one Jewish dude. Great defense there, "Reverend."

I like Al Sharkton. He is here to remind us how lucky we are to have a black Obama for president rather than a black Sharkton.frown

Sharpton and Jackson are two of the biggest race baiters I have ever seen. They make the Klan look amateur.

sterling hasn't been banned from tv,, didn't you see his interview?

he has allegedly violated a contract, period. It will be sorted out in the courts.

the only allegation that wasn't a few out of context words, was one taken from 17 years ago,, sterling isn't being reproached for anything that long ago, his dilemma is because of something that he has RECENTLY done

if Sharpton violated a contract, RECENTLY, the same will be done with him.

Since everything that has come to the surface (other than his own words from interviews) and used against him, was obtained illegally, how can it be lawfully used against him by anyone?

Of course you can't unscrew a pregnant woman now either can you?

The damage has been done, legal or not! But who pays? The criminals using it or the one illegally condemned?

they both will pay in their own way,,

its not determined whether it was obtained illegally but even if it were, the CONSENTUAL interviews he has given since would be grounds for the same actions being that he cant seem to open his mouth without disparaging the very people who make up the majority of the league players,,,

(Statism Is Slavery)

Welcome to the world of double standards and hypocrites. Donald Sterling has been fined and banned for the NBA for life for saying he doesn't want his mistress to hang out with black people in public. He didn't make this statement in public knowingly. He expressed his opinion in the privacy of his own home, not knowing that his mistress was taping him. Instead of having her being excoriated for embarrassing him and making what was supposed to be a private conversation public, Sterling was punished by losing his job.

Meanwhile, Shaq made fun of a man born with ectodermal dysplasia, which causes baldness and missing teeth. Shaq knowingly man fun of a man born with a genetic disorder in public and this story was hardly reported. Shaq hasn't been banned from attending NBA games and the incident was hardly reported.

Making fun of someone born with a physical disability is far worse than a person being racist. A person making racist comments is the one who ends up looking like a fool, while making fun of people with disablities causes personal hurt. But such is the hypocritical world we live in, where people only want to report on stories that rile people up and cause more division instead of actually doing anything to make the world a better place.

it is possible hardly reported stories are hardly reported because they have no VERIFICATION or validity

it IS absolutely true that this is the world we live in, if you are in the public eye and your dirt gets reported,,, there are consequences

whether its someone exposing what you said in private, or someone exposing an affair that was meant to be 'private'

how many politicians have stepped down, athletes have been suspended or had to make public apologies because some private sexual liason was reported?

what's in the dark comes out in the light,,,

It's the double standard.

Negros can be racist, bigoted, antisemitic and it's acceptable.

Makes it rather tough to be of equal rights when they get the pass to hate.

there is no pass. racism is what it is no matter who does it. sharpton is a long time known racist. (doesn;t matter how recent it was or wasn't) and none to bright. just ignore him ..lol

that's what I do :)

That would be akin to the pot calling the kettle black.

During a 2005 interview with Mike Wallace for television's 60 Minutes news magazine program, Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman did say he found the concept of Black History Month to be "ridiculous" and maintained the way to get rid of racism was to "stop talking about it."

But then what would come up, some idiot proclaiming that red is better than blue. One that pretends to place the blame for all that is happening is a result of others?

There is not a single true statement in this whole post. First, the statement was asking if NotTo Sharpton should be banned from TV, it was not about Sterling, but then that would require one to stay on point limiting entitlement options, wouldn't it.

But this part is hilarious, is one to think that either Sterling or the NBA sent over a copy of their contract for your expert legal analysis. One that consistently posts issues with personal legal affairs is now counsel to NBA in preference to all those expensive lawyers they keep on retainer (from slanted view couldn't possibly be Sterling).

And to think that not only does the NBA recognize the outstanding legal expertise, but screw-up of the millennia prefers said counsel over his FBI buddies.

This is what is so remarkable about this country, that one incapable of handling their own affairs can be quite an expert in handling the affairs of others.

Regardless of what really happens, it will fade into obscurity when all the political capital has been extracted, because the ignorant masses have already tried and convicted, not the guilty parties but the one they wish to reduce to their level.

How great a nation that desires as it prime objective to establish equality, not from the rise of man but from it's destruction by pulling down those that dare to rise on a moral basis, earning it. But to fellow idiots that can game the system and get rich with no benefit to mankind is a hero.

Morality
It's not right versus left.
It's right versus wrong.
A deep understanding of morality, principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong behavior, lies at the very heart of natural law. What morality actually means is common sense, it is the ability to understand the difference between right and wrong that defines common sense.
