Acutally I saw a poll about women and long hair on men. It stated that over 70% of women wouldn't go out with a man that had long hair. I pony tail mine to hide it most the time, but I will probably take it all off soon.
Personal Theory: women are actually more superficial than they claim men are. However, that is not proven, nor is it necessarily applicable in all circumstances.

About the email problem, I look at my sent box, and only half of the posts I send ever get read. If you want to make sure you're posts get answered, ask some questions, have a good subject line that either is completely flattering (without being laced with sexual inuendo), or extremely humorous - you know something that will make them go "whats up with this guy?"

ha I get told to "cut my hair and I will hire you" more then once a week. Most of what I say in a message is "Hi, how are you? would you like to chat?" Maybe its my default picture, I think I look kind of pissed in that lol.

Hell I don't hide my hair. I ware it as I please, although I do get alot of compliments on it and it there is a rud comment about it. It's usually women that are jealous of my hair lol

Wow, 70% of women? That makes it hard for us guys with long hair. Most of my messages get read, some don't. Most just don't get a reply. Its better the other sites. I was on PoF, and half the time they just get deleted.

Yeah! cut your hair and when you come in for the job, they will tell you they don't need you lol

We're visual "humans"... period. I don't think its superficial to notice someones appearance. It's superficial to "judge" based on someone's appearance.

SO only 30 % of women date the man attached to the hair, or no hair or short hair, or long hair, or brown hair, or blonde hair?

Come on, I need more statistics.

well dreads....i never met a guy with dreads or long hair that i didn't like. but then again i got to know them and didn't let something as silly as a hairstyle get in my way of meeting someone new. but people have these silly perceptions about other people based on looks. sucks doesn't it?
