A friend did me SUCH a SOLID tonight!

You have amazing friends!!! Don't you?

I have friends that come and go which is the natural thing in life. But I am happiest when the ones who stick around keep me smiling and laughing through everything.

friends are someone you can share the good and the bad with. who can accept all that we are or are not. who can speak openly and honestly, even tell you if you fkd up, instead of giving you the version you might want to hear. they know it will help you more in the long run.
I am blessed to have such friends in my life. such that I had a shoulder to cry on when there was a possibility that I might have cancer. such hat they can call me anytime or me them,and the only qquestion is, where are you? im on my way.
the most recent thing was yesterday. I told my best friend I hoped there was no family drama at my bday. she said girl, you know I got this like you made everything smooth at my wedding.
that's it, just stepping up to be there.

I do have the most amazing friends. They have given me a solid everyday for two years now.
I would give my life in a heart beat for them.

I had a friend who was beyond solid...

He took a round in the chest while we were overseas...
That round was meant for me...

I've moved quite a lot, didn't have real close friends for a while, but getting there again :) One, almost my neighbour, told me I could phone her, even in the middle of the night, i.e. if my car would break down on me when coming home from an evening out. I thought that was jolly decent, as we don't know each other all that well yet.

Yup - my friends are amazing. Through desperate & hard times, true friends were there. They are solid enough to be that support when most needed & I am too for them.

Some ppl have friends they've basically known all their lives. I've noticed that it's often the friendships that date back to teenage years that seem to last forever. Friendships that are forged later often seem to have to do with a 'theme'. I.e. both going through divorce, a study or hobby, that kind of thing, or both being young mums. And as that theme comes to an end at some point, so does the friendship.

I've done workshops where I needed to list everyone I knew within a 2 weeks period. Came up to Just under 1000 people and if my memory hadn't failed me, many more.

Then, To list 10 friends... 10 friends who know everything about each other, friends who I trust with my life and them trusting me with theirs.

I could only come up with 5 and 2 passed away This year in their 40's and a third close call a couple weeks ago.


I miss them terribly.

I can relate to this. I have many acquaintances but only a handful of close friends, who know me intimately and vice versa.

God, when I read about your young friends passing away, I could understand your pain and loss, because I have lost a good friend who was a young mother, and I have another friend who is undergoing chemo as I write this, and my small church friends are all praying for her.

This is seriously making me consider my diet, cos I read somewhere that a diet with a pH alkaline balance kills off cancer cells. In other words, eat more acidic foods like lemons, vinegar (especially cloudy apple cider vinegar) etc to counteract all the sugar we ingest (in all its forms) as cancers feed off sugars. Also cinnamon is great for regulating blood sugars which is good news for diabetics. I'm delighted with this, as I looove cinnamon buns etc.
I have made these dietary changes over a year ago and I have to say that I feel a lot better and it helps with weight loss too, even though I am okay in that respect.
