... is this even a word and if not then stop using it, because to use a non existent word just because it sounds smart, shows just how ignorant you truly are.

Language is ever changing/ evolving. It's just the nature of the beast. Our modern day language would probably make little sense to Shakespeare in his time and vice versa. "...An ye, harm none, do what ye will..." ohwell flowerforyou

No definition in the dictionary. Guess it's like us when we make up a word in another language. Like tacoier, treeness, robotnic. Yes those words mean nothing.

Definitely a made up word or a misspelling.

I think I hurt my phone trying to figure it out...laugh

Sheesh people, it is when the auto-filter

So, why does the word "passionate" show here in the forum and not in someone's post?
Has anyone tried to add the word "passionate" to their profile to see if it gets censored to "pionate"?
It seems such a radical change that it makes the poster sound ignorant.

Scammers may be operating from countries with strict moral standards - China, maybe Hong Kong, elsewhere. Their messages may be censored haphazardly, without regard to content.

Thus, any word with a-s-s in it is ruthlessly truncated to remove the "offending" letters.

This is the only halfway logical conclusion I can come to.

This has made me crazy too!!! If people don't know what a word means, if it even exists, or how to use it properly then they shouldn't use it! UGH!

Hah, that was truly funny! But yeah, I have looked it up because I see men using it all the time. What idiots! I don't care how handsome they are, or how great their profile or story is. . . if they use the word PION or PIONATE I can't delete them fast enough.

I don't know what pionate means. It sounds like a slang word. I don't like so many abbreviations. I have trouble understanding what people are talking about. Take your time and write full words.

Well, I would take the phonetic pronunciation and think that someone is telling me to Pee on it!

I have the word "passionate" on my profile, and it's been there for some time without being changed...unless the viewers of my profile see something else there than me...???

so 2 years have past and no one is able to give any definition for this damn word pionate.
i think now is the time for me to admit that i did study law and i have many dictionaries in my library and this word is not found anywhere in any of them.
i am convinced that this is not really a word and somehow people out there have heard it and have allowed themselves to be convinced that this really is a word and without doing any research to verify they just went with it thinking they learned something new.
i have never been impressed with anyone who uses a word without knowing its meaning and those who use words that dont even exist are in my opinion idiots who are simply trying to impress others with how smart they are but those of us who do understand words, language and its use are never impressed by BS or stupidity.
i know I'm a jerk but hey, i am honest about it and i never deny my true nature.
contrary t V comment that it is the site removing A-S-S from the word passionate that is not true because i have seen the word passionate in others profiles and i have seen this word poin which im sure is someones idea of a derivative of poinate and this idiot is trying to sound smarter than they really are.
well i guess the search for the word and its definition is officially over

correction, it was soufiehere who said that it was the site auto filter removing A-S-S from a word which is not true. as i said passionate is a word that shows up in peoples profile and it has A-S-S in it which proves that soufiehere was wrong in that assumption.
good practice is to think before saying anything and save yourself the embarrassment which is another word with A-S-S in it which i have seen in profiles again proving soufiehere wrong in her assumption which is another A-S-S word found in profiles.
get the idea soufiehere?

You missed the International Scammers Dictionary.
The definition is: To waste many peoples time trying to figure out a word means....
