Easter... not lent and its not a federal holiday/// Easter is a day in the Christian faith, and it always falls on a Sunday, therefore it will never be a federal holiday. Ramadan is a month-long observation, much like the Christian month-long observance of Lent. The 27th night of Ramadan is one of its most sacred, just as Easter is THE most holy day, also at the end of Christian's most holy seasons. Again, the federal government does not make holidays out of month-long occurrences. While we have National Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, etc., we have never, as a nation, recognized a month dedicated to the contributions of a religion, only to a People. Are some of you new to the United States and the way we do things around here and THAT'S why you're so fearful and conjure up wild imaginings of what could happen?

Ramadan is like ordinary other month of year we used to fasting and working Sir And killing? do you know someone killed! Yes, I know someone who didn't make it back from the Middle East. We went to High School together. We were never friends, but I still knew him. sorry about your friend but what is the cause of his death Wasn't a friend, we just had the same classes in High School and were on the same Hockey Team. It was from an IED. sorry i dont understand what mean IED! can u explain me

The hand must not touch or take anything that does not belong to it. The ears must refrain from listening to idle talk or obscene words. The feet must refrain from going to sinful places. In such a way, every part of the body observes the fast. Therefore, fasting is not merely physical, but is rather the total commitment of the person's body and soul to the spirit of the fast. Ramadan is a time to practice self-restraint; a time to cleanse the body and soul from impurities and re-focus one's self on the worship of God. also the sick person or the traveler does not forced to fast. people's health first

You have Christians, Jews, Athiests, Coptics, Bah�'�, etc all being arrested, beaten, tortured, and executed in countries under the rule of Islam. The Bible says the same thing...Christians simply choose to overlook those passages. Throughout the ages, Christianity has "arrested, beaten, tortured, and executed" those who do not share their beliefs, also, not only in their own countries, but by taking it on the road in Crusades. Really, the religion of Islam is not much different than any other religion; all religions tell the same stories, simply changing the names of the players to protect the innocent(s?).
