Why not....If there is attraction, it can work.

Personally I like my men to be older. I just feel weird dating younger guys. But to each their own. I don't see anything wrong with it and anything's possible.

It can work - a lot depends on the level of maturity of the people involved.

It all depends on the ones involved.. It will work for some and not for others... Youngest I have dated is 12 years younger and well that is once I got in my 50's..only lasted 6 months but it had nothing to do with age...

Before that they were always older then me....

Heck I figure if you get a long with them and they treat you good don't worry about the age.. It is all in how they treat you and make you feel....blushing

Does older women, younger men work out in the long run?

the ones that I know of didn't work out. In each case it was the guy who ended it.

Don't really know what to read into that.

I read that the young guy was finished using the older woman and went on to something else.

There seems to be a fallacy in our thinking here in the US in that we judge relationships by their longevity rather than their quality. In contrast, the French judge a relationship by its quality and what is being shared by the two people involved and that relationships need a variety of issues to prosper and just having shared time may be less than sufficient. Given the average person is now married three times you have to consider that quality and its lack may be a force in why relationships need to end. Not all relationships are meant to be lifelong just as friendships can last a short while or a whole lifetime but what seems to be most propitious is the quality of the experience not its duration.

Yes, true .. but still .. what the heck do you talk about? 12 yrs younger than me is 36.. what I notice with people that age is that they think they got it all worked out, but that they don't get a lot of deeper things, simply because they still lack life experience ..
I would not be able to live with that .. If someone constantly doesn't get things, me .. not what I want in a partner .. sex is another issue blushing but a LTR, nah ..
5 yrs younger is sort of where I draw the line ..because of the mental click ..

Dated younger men for the last 20 years (10 yrs diff the most) needless to say never ended up working out - I am attracted to them more because I am a youthful soul but....going to try closer to my age SIGH

INdeed in my 20s I dated one such male in his twenties,, already the man of his household of no father and younger siblings,, he paid bills, looked after family and took care of business,,,,

,,he had an issue with possessiveness, but that's not age exclusive,, in my experience

my present peers (in their 40s and 50s) remind me quite a bit of him,,

My niece dated a man in his mid 20s. Seemed like a solid guy; had a good job; adopted her daughter, and had a child with her. Then suddenly out of the blue; he decided to have an affair. He divorced her and is paying no child support and is with another woman. He also has another woman in another province that he is not paying child support to. Yeah; a fine example of a mature 20 year old. laugh
