In the boardroom, not so good...On a social networking site, I'm not going to think too much of it one way or the other...When a man writes to me, it almost always means one of two things...He's a scammer who is looking for an "established" older woman to work over or it's a guy who wants to make contact because he is interested in knowing more about me...I seldom make first contact, but when I do it's because I want to know more about him...Taking the first step can feel intimidating so when someone who seem legit writes to me and says "Tell me about you" my first thought is never negative, I TAKE IT AS A COMPLIMENT and I respond in kind....
I would reply but not take it as a compliment

I don't see the compliment in there either ..
Like I said, I reply when someone seems legit or interests me regardless of the question. But I don't answer the question. I've noticed that many men start asking questions and I think mostly because they don't know how the heck to start a conversation. If you just send a nice reply, without answering their twenty questions, but give them something they can get going with, you sometimes get a real nice conversation.
If you start answering their questions, you just get another one, and another and another..
I don't need, like nor want to be interviewed, so if a man sticks to his questions, I'm gone.

If I like what I see and read in his profile, I'm more than willing to help him move the conversation forward:tongue: .....I don't expect (or even want) him to be an expert conversationalist in the initial stages...If he asks a question that I am not comfortable with, I just tell him and we move on ...Some of the most rewarding online relationships I've had the pleasure of experiencing started out a little iffy....

It seems to me that the wrong types get together for the wrong reasons. I am a good catch but cautious because of a previously bad experience. I am looking for that special lady but will take it slow and get to really know each other to see of we click.
