I'm here for some weeks now and I find this really annoying. Every mail I get, is scam.

There's a lot of nice REAL people on this site. You'll find them.

Yea, I am a scammer. I keep writing many women trying to scam friendship out of them. The friendship scam; hang out with me and we can have a good time. That doesn't mean in the bedroom either. There is a lot things to do here in Tampa Bay.

You can tell a scammer / not living in the USA from how they speak (write) .. From the first sentence. I'm ??? By name! And then they say I can't wait to "Read From You" !!! Then they want you to give them our Messenger and or phone number..It's a freaken Joke.

I feel the same way. It is annoying & I find it insulting.. I hearing the same lines over & over & over... Always what they THINK women over 50 want to hear.
I'm here less than 2 weeks & I see at least 5 a day. As a woman mentioned earlier, " I 'm quite uncomfortable here'.

Sure there are good people here. And I see great personalities & intelligent people on forums. But that's not what most people are here for.
I certainly wouldn't cyber date across the country. And the likely hood of meeting a man that I MAY actually want to hang out with (from my little state or area) is REALLY REMOTE.

Words like " time, patience, effort".. All.. Inspirational but this isn't my first rodeo. But it could very well be my last.

Losers and they screw it for kind hearted real people.

this ^^^^ really cheeze's me off.. not the quote.. the scammers!! *sings* If I had a rocket launcher... explode

I used to have SOO much fun and even HOPE on this site.. then one day the scammers hit it and it's been a nightmare ever since.. in the past year alone I've actually had about a dozen REAL emails from REAL people and the thousands others were all from scammers.. do I have SCAM ME tattoo'd on my forehead?? I wonder... BLOCK, REPORT and DELETE are my best friends! sad isn't it.. *sighs*

mind you.. I've met some really GREAT folks here too.. real ones! and even dated a few in times past.. lately though? nothing to write home about and honestly?? I've little trust left.. ohwell

When someone asks for my phone number to text me right away I give them my ex's lawyer's phone number. I figure a scammer will have to love another scammer....laugh laugh

I met one last week. He had a State side phone number and then he had to go out of town on business. { West Africa} He needed money and couldn't get to his funds. I saw through him. I noticed that he is still on here even after I reported him. Now I am almost afraid to answer people back. Wasted a whole week of my life. His name is ************.

I have had a lot of emails from online sites saying someone is interested in me and when I click on it, they have already been reported and removed. Glad the sites are doing their job (and still FREE!!!) But some get through. I am not sure they are scammers in that they have never ask for money, just my email and phone. I do not give that out. That is why I am using a name that describes me rather than my real name. I prefer honesty but we have to stay safe.

That said, two totally different things. I think I have been getting fake profiles from Russians. The photos and writing styles are European and the answers have a computer generated edge to them. I ask some pointed questions without giving out info and refuse to go to private email. But it just has a weird feeling. Any one else running into these guys?

Secondly, people keep mentioning making friends on the forum. I kinda don't think all the friend making is going on in the comments. But when I click profiles to see where people are coming from most everyone has their mail limits set pretty tight. I have mine open. Should I tighten them? How do you make friends/ correspond? I tend to write too much or not enough so would rather ask questions privately to not embarrass myself and others. I write a lot because I live (by choice) in a rural area and EVERYONE is a long way. Too far for a cup of coffee.

Thanks all.

Fishy, well a twenty year old girl. I don't know about you, but to me that seems like bait. One of the awesome thing about being scammed is that you do see the pattern. I was bored looking in "Who's Online" clicked on a kid's (over 18) profile and thought she was cute. I wrote her a message that went "You are a cute kid, now I am going back to reality." She wrote back, and then I wrote her explaining that I am just an old guy that is basically looking for an old lady. She wrote back saying that she would really like to get to know me and to go directly to email. It is just like the last time I got scammed. After going directly to email, the lady quickly figured out the angle and I got one sad message after another till she got two hundred through Western Union. Ironically the person that picked up the money was not the person that I thought I was writing. Her profile name was a British Actress. Then I found out what she really wanted, MORE. I am dumb, but not stupid. I knew that I was had and let it go as a learning experience. Twenty year old girls are not interested in fifty year old men (I was 47 when this happened). Basically I am saying if it sounds too good to be true, it is.
