People who make a claim are responsible for citing evidence for that claim.

you're responsible for your own knowledge...

It doesn't work that way. When one makes a claim, one is responsible for providing evidence supporting the claim.

Or they're heads will be chopped off. That way they will learn..huh

depends upon the translation and whom you ask

not really, it's true... why are muslims acting like 7 century idiots? because they believe that's what allah wants, or that's the excuse they use anyway...

You really mean muslims or islamists ? There is a difference...and even among the muslims and islamists and I think even the jihadists....the last 2 being the more extreme ones.

And honestly I AM VERY GRATEFUL for that...or else...if they were in perfect unison we'd maybe have a state of war here.

Cause they are not the only extremists here, we also have neo-nazis and alike.

And Adam Lanza (the elementary school shooting) alone killed more people than these guys. I'm not justifying anything...but some PEOPLE simply loose it....

Muslim terrorists act more like Muhammad than peaceful Muslims want to admit.

Sure, Muhammad wrote peaceful stuff in the Quran when he was lacked military muscle and was camped out in Medina. However, once he had formed his army, Muhammad used the sword to force Arabs to submit to him and to his religion. Taking control of the state meant that Muhammad could add to the Quran statements that modern-day Muslim terrorists cite as justification for their terrorism.

Muhammad used physical force to scare people into submission. Modern-day Muslim terrorists have the same goal. After all, "Islam" means "submission".*

*The meaning of the word "Islam" is something that I learned in a college "Islam" course that I took during the 1980s. The theologian who taught it was a Muslim from Saudi Arabia.

Interesting...so did you read the Quran ?
I have to admit...I never read it...nor did I read the bible in full.

But I heard several thoughts of very religious people and I always wonder...

Muhammad wrote the Quran...?

This is news to me!

For as often as I've read the Quran from cover-to-cover you'd think he would have had cause to even mention himself more times then I can count on one hand, and yet he didn't.

adam lanza was a loner, and yes, he killed a few people, but his ultimate goal was not to kill all infidels that are not muslim... he wasn't part of an organization that doesn't like anyone else... there are 1.6 billion muslims in the world, and if 10% are extremists, thats roughly a third of the population of the US... less people died in WW2... neo nazis? all 2 or three thousand of them? and most of those are already in prison, not something to worry about...

The word, 'Quran' means recitation.

By the Quran's own admission, no word of it is derived from any human.

If you ever read any of the Quran at length, you'll start to notice it's written in the first-person but plural. This being an Angel in the company of a whole host of other Angels. The Quran isn't in chronological order of earliest to the latest. Often, the shortest Surahs (Visitations) are so short that any illiterate man like Mohammad was able to just memorize them. When Mohammad brought other men with literary skills, like the ability to take dictation, they were able to listen to the Angel themselves and record every word.

So, for the record... The Quran's claim to fame is that none of it is derived from any mere man, but instead it is a re-articulation of an emissary Angel sent from the Almighty God.

Yes, admittedly, the Quran was written down by men as a dictation from the Spirit World, but no one word from it is initially human.

I still don't get the meaning of the cartoon of Mohammad looking in a mirror and exclaiming 'Blasphemy!'

One would think Mohammad never looked in a mirror before, but that's not true. How would he have shaved himself without one?

If anybody thinks there were no mirrors in the 7th century, perhaps they should contemplate the words of James the brother of Jesus in the Bible, who lived half a millennium earlier. (James 1: 23+24)

That would be the same Bible which says that Jesus is God-incarnate, the Son of God.

What I don't get David is that you are supposed to be a religious man yet you post this chit about a different religion.
I find your topic disgusting and you need to have a word with yourself.
