Central Intelligence Agency. Their sole purpose is to gather intelligence. They spy on people. That's how they gather intelligence. Almost every government has their own version of the CIA. Links with ISIS? More like people embedded to gather information. Your profile says you are from Australia. You have a similar agency, I'm sure. Take the plank out of your eye before pointing out the speck in mine.

Concept does not always coincide with actual implementation practices... just look at Obozocare There always seems to be more proof of abuse than usefulness, and transparency is a one way street with the population on the losing side of the equation....for our "protection" as our "rights" are abused or negated completely Freedom is NOT the ability to walk around exploring only the inside of your cage |

The CIA is one of the United States best resources, unfortunately they keep getting neutered. They cant assassinate anymore, they can use enhanced interrogations, black sites, hell they cant even interrogate someone anymore without an FBI Agent mirandizing them thanks to Odumbo.

Example: Our present police state here in the USA, the reasons for the unrest in the ME to now reach our borders and threaten those of our allies and interests abroad A wise man once said:

People are agreeing with an opinion that I didn't give. Soul, I think you and I are on the same page, but reading different paragraphs. The CIA is there to collect intelligence on both allies and enemies. If they can do so without violating the Constitution, more power to them. If they violate the Constitution, no matter how secure we may be, I have a problem with that. The only opinion I offered in my previous comment was that the OP should be more concerned with what his own government is doing.

If they violate the Constitution, no matter how secure we may be, I have a problem with that. The only opinion I offered in my previous comment was that the OP should be more concerned with what his own government is doing. I've long believed that the only stupid question is the one not asked, and the only stupid answer is the one unquestioned. The CIA once had a purpose and did their job very well, but with all the new PC garbage like comes out of our current WH and its present guest, 27 alphabet agencies who continually seem to work against each other but call themselves the DHS claiming to "protect" us while giving us situations like Benghazi, Iraq, Libya, and another dozen or so debacles none of them seem to be in the slightest control or understanding of, while the whole world it seems now wishes to rise against us...... to not question actions or motives of those "in control" (where the CIA is front and center on the foreign scene) is nothing short of idiocy on the part of the people! |
