Happy Resurrection Sunday!
yeah teasel this is that precious sunday that He resurrected and ascended to heaven

Just a couple of small details:
He was resurrected Saturday night while it was still dark. John 20:1
He ascended to heaven much later John 20:17
Easter is a pagan holiday and is not biblical
However, it is a nice day,, enjoy

What's it matter if his resurrection wasn't specifically this day? Or yesterday? Or tomorrow? It's done in "memory" of the resurrection. There is absolutely no way possible to know if it was specifically "Saturday/Sunday" ect when it was done as their calender is not the same as ours is today. So couldn't really cross reference between their dates and so forth.

It may not be in the bible, but what's that got to do with anything? Can we not celebrate God and his works in ways outside of how we've been specifically told to?

You can celebrate anything any way you like as long as it is legal. Making up you own version of worshipping God, I think is a waste of time.
Matthew 15:9
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Matthew 15:8-10 (in Context) Matthew 15 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
3. Mark 7:7
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Matthew 7:22-24New International Version (NIV)

22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

And what does that have to do with Easter? Has no reference to the celebration and or anything alike, nor in reference to a "celebration" in honor of God. If you actually read the verse, it explains who's the hypocrite and why. "teaching for doctrines the commandments of men". You should read the beginning of the chapter to understand that which is said and why in verse 9.

1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,

2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;

6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

The verse you are taking entirely out of context to use again Easter is in reference to -

4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

Not the celebration of Easter or anything alike.

The Pharisees did add a whole lot of rituals that were worthless. Christ reprimanded them for letting the rituals be placed before what is important. Is not celebrating Pagan Holiday's like Christmas and Easter doing the same thing? How does a holiday based on Easter, the Goddess of fertility have anything to do with Christ?

It doesn't nor do we do anything in our celebrations in remembrance of her, or in honor of her, or anything mentioned of her or anything to do with anything about her. Show me how it's "based" off of this Goddess of fertility, then you'll have to show me how I celebrate Easter because everyone celebrates it in their own different ways.

Celebrations such as the "Goddess of Fertility" have their own rituals which are not celebrated or done by the Christians that celebrate Easter in remembrance of Jesus Christ. Thus making them entirely two separate celebrations that have absolutely no connection to one another nor is "based" on each other.

Multiple birth animals, chickens, rabbits, Easter egg hunts. I could go on and on but you can google "Easter" and read until the cows come home! Easter is based on the old Babylonian Goddess of fertility!

Again would be if you celebrated it in such a manner. The eggs? rofl, no the eggs have nothing to do with the resurrection, and that actual action of searching for the eggs may be from this other celebration you speak of. But dude, come'on now, the egg hunt is for the kids, fun and entertaining for again the kids. Plus it keeps them busy while the food is cooked and or what not other the adults may be doing in preparation for the dinner with family to give thanks to our great God almighty Jesus Christ for all he has blessed us with.

It is all fun and entertaining, but nothing to do with Christ. Anyway, have a good day! Enjoy everyday the good Lord has blessed us with!
