Hi there, yes you can be saved without being baptized, salvation usually comes first then baptism in water and baptism in the Holy Spirit follows after, cheers

Hello Rennz, nice to meet you..I'm so confuse with this matter? Cuz Jesus said you have to be born again....and in order to you have to be baptized..right..

There are two baptisms. Baptism by water and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. May I ask which baptism you are confused about?

Being born again is accepting what Jesus did for you at the cross, (He died for all our wrongdoings). Repenting for your wrongdoings and then asking God to be the Lord of your life.
This will spiritually make you now born again into Christ.
You will be saved, but still pursue both baptisms as yes we are commanded to do so.
It does not stop there though. It is a daily walk, reading the bible, praying and growing in knowledge and faith.

Acts 2:38 New International Version (NIV)

38 Peter replied, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Water baptism is a work, and no work can save you.

In his book The Holy Spirit, Dr. Billy Graham describes spiritual baptism as something that happens when one becomes born again.

Being saved is the acceptance that Christ died for your sins.
Went to hell for 3 days to pay for you.
Rose from the dead
Ascended into heaven.
And sitting on the right hand of God, The Father, All mighty

Bapistism is a voluntary act of obedience & dedicating your life.
And requesting that the Holy Spirit join you & guide you.
The Holy Spirit is the presence of Christ on Earth.

A couple more for thought

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (NLT, Matthew 28:19)

And then he told them, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. (NLT, Mark 16:15-16)

Hi. Just adding my voice to the several.

Water baptism does not save. It is a step you take after being born again in affirmation of what has taken place in your life. Salvation takes place because of the penalty Jesus has paid. When we are immersed in water, we symbolize that we have died with Christ and in being raised from the same water, we symbolize that we are also risen with HIM.

And to be more direct, I went to a church (as a child) where the determinant factor for who was a real member of the church or true Christian was baptism by immersion. But this is not the Biblical position - as others have explained. The bible teaches salvation first and then baptism.

The Bible instructs all Christians to be baptized after they are saved. Therefore, if you are already born again, seek the opportunity to get baptized - in obedience to God's word.

God bless you.

It doesn't surprise me that someone would quote from the extended ending of Mark's Gospel, an extended ending that Mark did not write.

"Thus, on the basis of good external evidence and strong internal considerations it appears that the earliest ascertainable form of the Gospel of Mark ended with 16:8. Three possibilities are open: (a) the evangelist intended to close his Gospel at this place; or (b) the Gospel was never finished; or, as seems most probable, (c) the Gospel accidentally lost its last leaf before it was multiplied by transcription."

is this mean IT isn't matter which church I get baptize?
so long I'm baptize I'm saved!!!!
what I know and understand is that Apostle Paul also warned us about being baptized into the wrong name...

You are already saved if you have given over your life to God.
