I have no need to run away from anything, but I do love a bit of adventure and traveling! It's not about running away from Something huni.. the thread is more about adventure & travelling . I'm all for that! Would LOVE to travel through Africa... for starters! Typical this comes up now. My daughter in law was here, girl is 19. And we were talking about me wanting to travel, and really not wanting to live in this area. So she asked, would you want to live in Australia (she knows I've been there). I said "Yes, but no way will I move that far away from my son!" Then she asked "And what if we'd come along to Australia?" "Yes, absolutely! I'm going to pack my bags!!" I was rather surprised by my reaction, the intensity of my feelings, I thought I'd gotten over that, but clearly if I could choose, wouldn't have to worry about leaving anyone behind, I'd be going down under tomorrow! see....now you are talking a mama's language..the idea of jumping in a car and taking off for new horizons sounds appealing but.. so much of this depends on my children and where they end up living yep. My daughter lives in the US, so when it comes to her, it doesn't really matter where I'd go, as long as it isn't farther away from her. I suppose that Scandinavia gone from the list. I can live with her being far away from me, I've always known she'd go far from home. She was talking about it when she was barely 5 years old. And she takes after mom; I've done a similar thing. Only difference is I came back. But to have both kids an 8 hr (or more) flight from me would be pushing it!

I never buy a lottery ticket, so ain't gonna happen, but a girl can dream, lol. I had that feeling of endless contentment on the Isle of Wight, South Stack (Wales), felt it daily for 5 months when I lived/worked at Uluru. Also felt that way when I sat on a sea wall, watching the full moon eclipse with a drink, some nibblies, and a spliff. The sun was setting behind us, absolutely wonderful! Runs to store to buy a lottery ticket!
