Secret Pentagon Report Reveals US “Created” ISIS As A “Tool” To Overthrow Syria’s President Assad
Judicial Watch, shows that Western governments deliberately allied with al-Qaeda and other Islamist extremist groups to topple Syrian dictator Bashir al-Assad

From the first sudden, and quite dramatic, appearance of the fanatical Islamic group known as ISIS which was largely unheard of until a year ago, on the world’s stage and which promptly replaced the worn out and tired al Qaeda as the world’s terrorist bogeyman, we suggested that the “straight to beheading YouTube clip” purpose behind the Saudi Arabia-funded Islamic State was a simple one: use the Jihadists as the vehicle of choice to achieve a political goal: depose of Syria’s president Assad, who for years has stood in the way of a critical Qatari natural gas pipeline, one which could dethrone Russia as Europe’s dominant – and belligerent – source of energy, reaching an interim climax with the unsuccessful Mediterranean Sea military build up of 2013, which nearly resulted in quasi-world war.

The narrative and the plotline were so transparent, even Russia saw right through them. Recall from September of last year:

If the West bombs Islamic State militants in Syria without consulting Damascus, LiveLeak reports that the anti-ISIS alliance may use the occasion to launch airstrikes against President Bashar Assad’s forces, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Clearly comprehending that Obama’s new strategy against ISIS in Syria is all about pushing the Qatar pipeline through (as was the impetus behind the 2013 intervention push), Russia is pushing back noting that the it is using ISIS as a pretext for bombing Syrian government forces and warning that “such a development would lead to a huge escalation of conflict in the Middle East and North Africa.”

But it’s one thing to speculate; it’s something entirely different to have hard proof.

I'm not seeing the version of this that you are.

Probably because I have studied so much History of so many nations, I am more than used to how a given power will provide direct and indirect support to "bad guys," because they see an advantage at the time they do so.

That's what I'm seeing here. It's not really any different from the way that we gave support to those in Afghanistan who opposed the Soviets way back when they were occupying that country. Many of those people joined Osama Bin Laden and later attacked the US under Al Qaeda's banner.

The documents there do NOT support the claim that the US "created ISIS." Only that they took advantage of the precursors to it, and underestimated the danger there.

That's not true! Every time I see a politician on TV he stresses the fact that he's working hard to protect me and my family from the bad guys. Those public officials wake up and go to bed with our security on their mind to the point of losing sleep. I love them. They are my heroes.

Well in Syria you originally had a populist rebellion. The farmers and shopkeepers grabbed AK's and wanted to fight Assad. Their war was quickly usurped by professional jihadis who stole their weapons like a bully steals lunch money.

As soon as the government found out al-Qaeda was involved, the act of continuing to provide them weapons was an act of treason. You should hang for that. Instead, it passed for an act of diplomacy to foster regime change. Unfortunately, the weapons wound up in Iraq and got used on both the civilians, and a group of lady golfers known as the Iraqi army.

So we stumble from pillar to post looking for a bunch of shooters and looters who the intel 'professionals' feel offers a more 'positive' outcome, and who are easily controlled.

Of course we are not above playing the tribe card, or religion card about what direction to point these groups in, so that we get the appropriate body count.

Maybe, just maybe, it's a brilliant operation to see how many Muslims we can kill using other Muslims to pull the trigger for us. If we can start another regional war using chemical and biological weapons like Iran vs Iraq back in the 1980's, maybe we can get a couple million more killed.

Oooooo, break out the microwave popcorn, Wolf Blitzer is coming on......

I'm just not ready to trust anyone
named Nafeez Ahmed, giving a
report on anything involving the u.s..

Mater, you do realize, that Putin was
the head of the KGB during the latter
part of the Soviet era?

Disinformation, is as much a part of
enemy strategy, as it is allied strategy.

How you can trust a politician with so much wealth leveraged into the war machine bond market and the corporations it contains, and then claim they are "looking out for us", is ludicrous!

These self serving "heroes" you idolize are nothing more than insider traders looking out for their own interests and those of the corporations that support them, and the profits they make from them, at the expense of our children, our freedom and our security they damage rather than protect!

OK, I get it..... a jest..... my bad blushing laugh

Everybody remembers that... Well, maybe not Liberals and McCain and Boener and Co. because they have their head shoved so deep in Obummer's buttcrack they can't see straight, let alone think, but I'm sure someone remembers, even if he wants to forget it.

Apparently you guys don't remember that EVERY President gave weapons to others, and those weapons were later used against us. That's what Bad Guys do: they grab whatever they can get their hands on, and go to town. Duh.

It was Reagan and Bush who armed Al Qaeda at the beginning. And every time the US or any other major power has armed an ally in the region, some of THOSE weapons ended up in the bad guys hands.

Then there's all the stuff which was left on the battlefield after the "quickie" Iraq invasion using an under-manned and under-supplied invasion force, allowing both Saddam's plan for guerrilla resistance war to take place, and the various terrorist groups who came into the areas left unoccupied, to turn both US and Iraqi weapons and ammunition into IED's.

I know that YOUR goal starts with adding complaints against the people you already hate, so you "forget" the rest of the real story. This is why so few real problems get fixed in the world, even after the "other guys" are voted into power.
