who was the best act you saw live?

i have to say Bruce Springsteen didn't disappoint, even at 63 he still brought the house down.

also enjoyed first aid kit this year, i imagine if you haven't heard of them you will soon

There have been a few, and some of them quite surprising, and not acts I would describe as my favourites.

Cradle of Filth put on an amazing live show with trapeeze artist swinging about and various other 'extreme' additions on stage.

Metallica have always been very good when I have seen them (4 times) and they have always had a very clean sound.

Rod Stewart was a big surprise, wasn't expecting too much, but he was awesome.

The Who in 1974 on their Quadrophenia tour or maybe Queen with Freddie Mercury (I saw them 3 times and they were amazing every time)

Marilyn Manson- Say what you want about the guy.....he delivers on stage.

Bon Jovi- New Jersey Brotherhood tour (1989) during the groups heyday. It was a great show and they went nonstop for two and half hours.

KISS- All time classic and one of the best live acts ever. I saw them when the original members did their final tour. Gene Simmons doing "God of Thunder" never gets old.

seen bon jovi twice in 1993 and 2001 and both times they were very good too, although 2 and a half hours is nothing compared to springsteen's 4 hour marathon!

I remember Billy Squire, he had an album namely Emotions in Motion and Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor did backing vocals on at least one track.I think he also supported them on one of Queens American Tours.

Two stand out for me

Bon Jovi at Southampton in 07 and again at the IOW festival 2 years ago, and Queen this year with Adam Lambert at the O2 especially Brian May singing in front of a recording of Freddie on the screen behind him

Metallica.

Muse. This one I didn't expect. Matthew Bellamy is an amazing vocalist and guitarist!- which I didn't know until I saw them live onstage. It totally blew me away!
