IDK Crystal. Have you seen a pic or Skype with this person? Your gut feeling is very important and should not be taken lightly. Don't get swept up in someone's Internet banter. It would be easy to find out about you through your forum posts and sculpt the conversation around that. I do understand it's a different site but the info is out there and can be found.
Usually, too good to be true is too good to be true. Besides, I'd rather see you go on a date with PhD as you have interacted with him much longer. LOL. I'm a skeptic and I don't want to lose you to a psycho. Just be smart and be careful. At the very least, make it a very public meet.

But I'm done chasing men that neglect me. He just confessed he chases 2-3 women at the same time! I want my bloody ring!  (So much for not getting ahead of yourself, but that's not the point). You do say that he's not exactly your type, looks wise and without wishing to be rude, you are known to be somewhat picky and ready to find flaws in men that you've dated that you said didn't really do it for you. I'm not saying that it's unreasonable of you to want the full package and physical atraction is important. It could be a bit awkward if he's a really great guy but you just don't fancy him. You might try to tell yourself that it doesn't matter that he's not really your type because everything else about him is great. Then you could find yourself in a relationship where you're not really being honest.
I don't know why you're scared and I don't know what your friends meant by the past, unless they're talking about your taste in men and how you're now feeling like you did before you met other people that it didn't work out with. He seems too good to be true, apart from what he looks like. He says all the right things and seems to get you. He is a bit different but how different really from your usual type? |
